Letzes' Diary

The day is almost over! Just one more to go and then I can really be on holiday mode without feeling guilty (if it's possible). I'm going to weigh in on Monday (11) and plan to weigh in only 3 times this month, so I can actually enjoy holiday / birthday without putting too much on my shoulders because I gained weight (I'm considering I'll have enough time to gain and lose or vice-versa -- I hope it works).

I'm trying to eat all the groceries that I have in my small fridge. So menu is pretty repetitive.

Breakfast: Wholewheat bread + Laughing Cow LW + Tomatoes + Alfalfa / Coffee / Strawberries
Snack: Pear.
Lunch: Panga Fillet + Red Bell Pepper / Mushrooms / Corn / Mixed Greens + Tomatoes + Goat Cheese
Snack: Fromage 0% + Strawberries / Whey + Almond Milk.
Dinner: Panga Fillet + Butternut Squash (so good) / Mixed Greens + Tomatoes + Gouda Light / Corn.
Snack: Banana + Cinnamon.

Calories: 1270.

There is still one panga fillet and salmon for tomorrow. Veggies and fruits are almost gone :/

Cat, believe me, I was almost giving up for an extra pear, if there was a pack of ice cream in front of me -- as in your case, there would be no will power at all!

Thank you girls! For me, the problem is Ben & Jerry, they should be considered public enemies!

Had a super great day with a well spent time at the gym, including a super sweat t-shirt! Let's expect that all the work done since May 1st will be able to compensate the damage of the next days.

Breakfast: Wholewheat bread + Tomatoes + LLC Light Wedge + Alfalfa / Coffee / 1/2 Pear (the same).
Snack: 1/2 Pear.
Lunch: Panga Fillet + Butternut Squash / Mixed Greens + Tofu / Mushrooms.
Snack: Fromage 0%.
Dinner: Salmon / Canned peas and carrots + Goat cheese.
Snack: Whey + Almond milk.

Calories: 1270.

I could finish my groceries and there is still one apple and some ingredients for a frittata for breakfast tomorrow :)

There are no diet plans for the holiday, but I do intend to buy some fruits to eat while there. I also bought a new jogging pant and packed it with my things, I hope I'll have time to exercise at least a bit.
I was considering to take some whey with me, but I'm not sure if I'll have a blender there and I don't like it with water, so I may just forget it.


Then, on Monday, weigh in and increase on the calories counting in a disciplined manner, I'm thinking about going to the 1400 - 1500 range. Do you girls think it's a healthy range and I'll still be able to lose some weight at a moderate rate?
 
Ha! Had a healthy breakfast and now I'm heading to the station, with my apple.
Then, let's see what Norway has to offer.

I'll keep it updated as I'm taking my netbook with me (yeah, I'm kind of a geek who can't live without a computer for a couple of days).
 
Hello girls,

I'm in Bergen and it's such a beautiful village, super cute. The conference couldn't start better, they had a kind of metal performance which was awesome -- can't believe it's an academic conference hahaha.

As a bad note, I'm totally pig-mode. I knew I'd do that, but it's sad to realise how I don't have this "feeling full" sense, I am either not full or painfully full. Needless to say that I'm painfully full right now, I had two bars of chocolate for lunch (I was pretty hungry when I arrived and the owners of the room left the bars as a welcome gift). Then I went to the conference at around 16:00, ate lots of wraps (first coffee time) and snacks (welcome reception). People are like "let's socialise" and I just think about how the food is good. Why do I have this chubby brain?

I'm not going to blame myself and I'm willing to take the extra quilos, I'm not even thinking about calories. But it'd be so much easier if I was not such a food-lover.
 
Ah sweetie it's an addiction for all of us and millions of others too, so don't worry too much - it's about learning over time to have smaller portions and let that voice say "I'm full" and we hear it! :)

At cocktail parties I'm the same! "Ooh canapés!" I'll have 20 please!! Although if I had to pick between champagne and canapés the bubbly would always win :)

Glad you aren't beating yourself up over it. :) I'm the same way when there are huge trays of tempting food!

Hey hey, another pig day!
Norway has a kind of kit kat chocolate that is much better than kit kat! I read that Norwegians eat an average of 9 bars of this chocolate per year, I think I'm going to eat 9+ in 4 days.
Coffee break 2 today had lots of dry fruits, de-li-ci-ous. We have 2 coffee breaks with different treats and also lunch (fish + dessert).

I think I'm going to be fat and happy.

Tomorrow is my presentation, glad I didn't explode and will manage to do that.

I'm seriously considering the possibility of not weighing in on Monday... maybe I don't want to see any scales in my life for a long time. If I don't know, it means I didn't get it (at least until my pants fit).
