UNLEASHING THE BEAST!
Okay rerun.

I have a wedding to attend in July, which is in 112 days time (counting yesterday made it 113). We lose 3.5 lbs a week roughly on this diet, I know for some it's up, some it's down, but a stone a month is average.

So say a stone a month, 3.5lbs a week, that's 0.5lbs a day. 113 x 0.5 = 56.5lbs I could have off, not counting the additional losses in the first week.

I currently weigh 15st 9.8lbs, so lets say 15 stone 10 for rounding. That's 220lbs. I could potentially weigh 163.5lbs or 11stone 8lbs by then wedding.

Now the maths is done, I know weight loss is not linear and our bodied are not machines but I'll give it a go.

In other maths news, its 452 packs until I see a new slimmer me!

Now that's the boring stuff out the way (hopefully) and it's off we go, Round X. Ding ding!

Welcome to the dark side! :p

Did you do Cambridge a few years ago? Your username sounds familiar from there!

4 hours sleep? Ouch! What do you work as?

I'm a nurse Caz, and I do full time night shift in a condensed pattern, so I do 7 nights on shift and then I have 7 off. I was on CD years ago - I think my pics are under profile on My CD album.

Well that new Start never happened. I think I got one - 2 nights under my belt and it all went wrong!

So back on today. Still at 15 stone 5lbs which is something, at least I've not put on I suppose!

I have added motivation now, we've been trying for another baby now since November, but it turns out I'm not ovulating, so I need to get my weight down in the hopes that it will either kick start ovulation or get my weight to a BMI for fertility meds.

Also doing a bit of digging around the net and I can get 4 packs a day, albeit in a more limited choice, for £26 a week, so if I even need to cut back on the pennies I know I can.

Today's plan is

B: Vanilla latte, 700 ml water
L: Bar, coffee with some skimmed milk and 500 ml water
D: Cottage pie, brocolli, 500ml water
S: Cottage pie, 500 ml water

Leaves me 800ml water to drink around during the day. I just have to hang in til Midnight and then I can start on my next 4 packs.

This is doable. 1 shake at a time.

I thought I knew you from CD! I did it too, I had a different username then. I remember you, you were absolutely amazing, so positive, supportive and inspiring!

Ouch! Your job sounds painful, must be hard with children, especially doing a diet like this. My sister is a nurse, no night shifts thankfully now she's a clinical nurse specialist but she used to have to do them. So I feel your pain, a little.

That's a good motivation and it's achievable too, a healthy BMI is 2 stone away. You can do that for sure.

Aw, That's very kind of you to say :) Nice to know I made a difference.

Who were you on CD? Caroline? Was I always nagging you to drink more water? ;)

Yeah, Caroline G. That's the one! Haha still no better at it :p

Re-run mark 2.

Breakfast of porridge and a good 700ml warm water.

Day 1 of restart yesterday went 'okay' overall, had an extra bar as was super hungry and my wee boy fed me some raisins. All in not too bad for day 1 though

So this is now Day 4, I started Monday 18th

And I think overall we're doing okay, couple of wobbles here and there, a pastry on Monday, a few raisins where the wee one was 'feeding' me and a taste of husbands curry tonight (it was genuinely for tasting purposes to see if it was balanced enough).

Just had pack number 4 today - Cottage pie and 200g of swede. STUFFED!

Saving my can coke zero for later. Managed fizzy water (1.5L), 500 ml bottle water and a mug of black coffee whilst out (2 powdered sweetners though, no tablets available, must remember to bring own next time)

Still have 200ml skimmed milk for a cuppa later if I'm struggling.

Managed to have my tomato soup when I was out earlier at soft play with Mum and the wee one, they walloped into Skips and a white coffee and I stuck to my pack and water and black coffee.

All in, a good day - scales shows a tremendous improvement, but will wait til Monday for official weigh in.

Great start - 4 days down so it should start to get easier! I've done lots of 1 day (ok, half day) restarts but now I'm on day 8 I'm hoping that this one will stick!
Good luck for first weigh in, sounds like it'll be a good one! That should spur you on for the rest of the week! :D

So this is Day 7 now and I have 3 nights on nightshift under my belt on this too.

Scales are very reassuring - really looking forward to official weigh day tomorrow. Girls in work ordered a chippy and didn't ask me if I wanted anything because of my diet :) I had changed my mind at last minute and was going to order some chicken but glad I didn't have anything off plan.

Still got one more pack to fit in tonight before midnight too - so will aim to have a shake about 11ish. New 'pack' day starts at midnight.

Drum roll please.

10LBS OFF!

The scales did show 14st 13lbs yesterday but I'm back up to 15st this am, which is perfectly fine.

Onwards and downwards ladies!

Amazing, well done!!

Congrats! That's great xx

Thanks all. Still trundling along.

Scales this morning show a massive drop to 14st 13 which is a whole pound since yesterday. Maybe should have waited a day for weigh in ;)

Had my last pack late last night - about 11pm.

First pack down today and going at a 1Litre water - will try to get half donw before going back to bed for a couple of hours.

Thanks

Made some carrot cakes - one for work and one for Mum coming over tomorrow and no nibbles or taste tests anywhere :)

However turns out I found about 5 days worth of packs in one of the big cake tins - Must have been storing them in there and forgotten about them!

Anyway - today has looked like this

B: Hot choc shake, and 900ml water
L: Choc coconut bar and 650m ml water
D: Vegetable soup (made up in cup), 200g tandoori mushrooms, and a can coke zero
T: Vanilla latte, 500 ml water

So that means any further water consumed pre midnight is a bonus :)

I'm nightshift tonight so I run my packs days from midnight to midnight - I usually have one about 1:30 ish and then try to wait til I'm home for pack 2, go for a sleep, get up and have pack 3, then pack 4 just before I leave for work again about 7pm ish.

So tired today though and the wee one isn't for going for a sleep in the slightest. Oh well.

So husband tried to get on board "I'll do it for at least 2 months" he said. "Order me 5 strawberry shakes a day" he said.

He last 2.5 days - 10 shakes out of 150 odds.

Good job I knew he's rubbish at this and only ordered him a weeks worth.

So now I have 18 ish strawberry shakes to drink (and I don't like them). Oh well.

My OH only lasted 2 days as well lol he told me he though because I have done it for so long he thought it was a piece of piss! Oh how wrong he was, he did give it another go over weekend but it made him ill!
