LoChan's diary - hello!

Morning Lo :D

Risotto rice balls

yum!!

I am off hunting that virtually free soft cheese thread that Erm
started now Lo thanks for that x

Heehee, I can put a name to the Meow now, hiya Anna :D

Oh yes, I thought that was common knowledge....! :p

I'm about 99% certain that, like a cheesy 80s radio station, Quorn products are 'All free, all the time'. Stop trying to Syn your Quorn! It'll leave more room for cake ;)

What are slimpods? I guess they're some sort of CD? Do they help?

Night Lo

Am loving the food porn - great to see you back in the swing of things. Those pancakes are so not diety.

Great to hear you are back on the slimpods. I am still listening to my cd at night, but rarely get to the end. Am convinced I will strangle myself in my sleep with the headphone cord one of these days. The guy gets you to imagine food is plentiful, which, in theory prevents your body from going into a state of famine, but I wake up having dreamt I am swimming in crisps and cranberry juice - must be a little mental cos I dont even drink cranberry juice!!! May need therapy.....

I'll be imagining I'm floating in the cranberry lake off the Ocean Spray adverts tonight now :8855:

I'm going to try making some tonight with sweet chilli sauce 'cause I love the philly version :D Just checking the yoghurt syns I've got as could only get hold of the co-op version of total yog, tsch. It's on this thread if you haven't found it yet: http://www.minimins.com/slimming-wo...me-made-soft-cheese-any-flavour-you-like.html x

Hmn I'm not sure - as far as I knew the only actually 'free' ones are the mince and quorn pieces, the other stuff some things are free and some stuff isn't. It used to be a lot simpler but the rebranded 'best ever' quorn stuff seems to all have syns nowadays :sigh: I don't rely on it overmuch anyway so it's not too much of a worry :)

The slimpods are on cd or downloadable - sort of a hypnotherapy thingy. Their website's here: Thinking Slimmer Slimpod weight loss with no need to diet if you want a nosy :) I'm struggling to listen to them everyday though (you're supposed to do 21 days straight) - I'm terrible at anything that requires daily attention

Ooh, I’ve just checked my book and you’re right, where it says “Quorn” in big letters, it has “mince and pieces” in little letters underneath! Pays to read the fine print, clearly.

I would have loved to have been wrong honestly lol Oh wells huh x

Bless me Minis, for I have synned 29.5 times today :p

Will do my full confessional (food diary) in t'morning. Must go to sleep now.

Amen ;)

Lol.... We forgive you Lo!!

On the plus side, you know how many sins you used! Which shows your mentally still on plan xx

Indeed! Though I'm not 100% certain how many chocolate bites I snuffled, guessed at 6 as there wasn't much more'n that left in the tub so syns are a conservative estimate :D

could have been worse you could have been in manchester with me !!!!:eek:

dread to think what my count might of been :(

Doesn't count - you were on holiday in Christmas Land with Zippy Santa ;)

Just saying hi and that I'm going to catch up on your diary and come back later x

Hiya Shrinki, welcome :)

Oh dear

you are forgiven my child :giggle:

I feel absolved and pure again, thank you :D

Don't think yesterday was as bad as it could have turned out - if I hadn't reasoned with myself to just use my leftover hexs in the evening instead of carrying on with chocolatey things it would of been much worse on t'syn count and I'd be heading for one of the lower circles of Hell ;)

Not sure if I was unconsciously stressed/agitated from the busride home that might have triggered the mini-overindulgence. Didn't have anything directed at me personally but there was another bunch of evil kids on the bus back from my mums again last night, opening the back window upstairs and trying to set seats on fire - racist and foulmouthed too once the poor driver (african accent and wearing glasses both picked on by the tw0ts) came upstairs to confront them. He didn't kick them off the bus though, possibly he was too intimidated or just couldn't be ar$ed with the hassle as they changed drivers a couple of stops after I got on the bus. So had to put up with them for half the journey, there were little kids sitting upstairs too for parts of it :( Two more days of buses left this week. It was relatively peaceful once they got off, it's kinda nice reading on the warm bus while it's dark and rainy outside, not so much fun when it was time to get off and do the 20mins walk to my son's school though  Must think about working up the courage to learn how to drive, but the hairdresser fear is probably an easier one to conquer first lol

So food diary for yesterday: 29.5 syns

B - Muller corner (4 syns), oat-so-simple (hexa & hexb), banana

L - Tuscan bean soup, 1 risotto riceball (1 syn), activia yoghurt.

Afternoon - tuscan bean soup, hula hoops (6.5 syns), milky way (5 syns)

D - Quorn lamb grill (chopped up) & marinara sauce with spaghetti. Approx 6 M&S cornflake bites (12 syns)
Spaghetti Marinara.jpg

Evening - Cheese (hexa) & chutney (1 syn) on toast (hexb). Activia yoghurt.

Nearly ate a gingerbread tree (from martins) too but it was crap so spat it out and chucked it in the bin, no point synning if it's not pleasurable ;)

London, Manchester, wherever, scum (sorry, those challenged in the niceness department) seem attracted to buses.

In my cycling days I usually felt safe there as I was faster than pedestriand and slower than cars. B U T nasty things happen to cyclists too :(

Like somone else said, try the downstairs and resolve never ever to be a busdriver.

Those rice balls are properly arancini (plural of little oranges in Italian) go google, but the deep fried ones have syns positively oozing out of them. How did yours turn out?

:giggle: being a bus driver ain't so bad honest ;)

It's just the scum that get on the bus that you have to deal with
I find pulling the bus over and saying until you behave matey this bus ain't going nowhere works a treat irate passengers usually turn on the scum and shame them off the bus haha...

Afternoon Lo

That's what Mal used to do when he was a bus driver, pull over, get off the bus go sit and have a smoke after he'd told them they weren't moving till they learned to behave themselves :giggle:, he always reckoned the worst culprits were the old ladies with their shopping trolleys fighting for position :8855:

Hey Lo, where are ya hun? Hope you're ok....gl for WI tomorrow sweetie.
Have you fallen off the wagon hun, I have royally lol, but I am trying to keep it to a minimum ....I know I can do this and I am going to give myself a break, if I stuff up so be it, when Christmas is over I am back on it 200%
Nighty night sweetie, hope everything's ok...sweet dreams :zz: xxxxxx

Sit downstairs on the bus - it might not be as bad :D

I hope you haven't crossed your picket line :)

Heh - on the whole everyone else on the bus has already had that idea before me so I don't have much choice about sitting upstairs

Didn't cross my picket line no, I've still kept it up i'fact. The wii and my exercise dvds are in the same room as my workstation though, but it's a sacrifice I've been prepared to make for the sake of protecting our pensions ;)

The riceballs turned out lovely :) Made them pretty much as per your instructions though I cooked the rice with a knorr herb stock pot as well as the turmeric and I put fresh oregano and marjoram in the marinara sauce along with dried rosemary (didn't have any fresh o'that). Gorgeous tasty things :D

Hmn I don't think that method would have worked to be honest, they were raising the bar way past plain old scum to be honest with you :( I know for a fact there were a few big blokes on the bus (they pinched the last seats downstairs when they got on the bus before me) but nobody came up to back the driver up while they were shouting abuse in his face - the proper bad stuff, think the worst C word in the world etc :sigh: Disgusting.

I wish it had been old ladies, I could have had a giggle about it then lol

I did fall off the wagon a little bit too the past few days, combination of things but mostly from feeling rough and can't be bothered trying to cook with the still-broken oven. Caught germs off the disease riddled childminded babes at my mums plus got left standing out in the cold over an hour waiting for a taxi on thursday night so a bit world weary heh - having a duvet day today with dvds (gremlins and da kine) then picking myself up tomorrow. Think I'll be thinking along the same lines as you and do my best each day but if things go awry I know I can get back onto things once the season is over with. I'm just not the type of person who can get through this time of year being 100% - it's nice to be able to go awandering around markets and such (went again yesterday for m'dad's present and one of my son's) and be able to have a bit of what I fancy and such - I had a gluwein and before heading home had supper in starbucks of a praline mocha and a brie and cranberry panini - synnometer overload!

Considering those treats yesterday plus a mcdonalds on thursday night after the taxi debacle and being late for parent's evening and picking my son up because of it (which left me in a right state :()... *breathes* pleased to report I've lost 5lb this week, gain recovered along with my 3.5st shiny :)

Think all I'm aiming for now is to be in the 21s and to stay there for the new year, then I can get cracking again - sensible and realistic hopefully :)

Wooooo, 5lbs! Well done you, that is well and truly back on the waggon, hope you feel lots better soon.

Hi
Well done, are you feeling better?
I think it shows real determination and strength to get up and carry on with the sw journey when you've had a tough time of it. For me in the past, it's been all too easy to give up and end up weighing more than when I started.
I now know why this has to change for life this time.
I love your diary, and your total honesty, you give me inspiration
have a good week
