Green Day Looking for a recipe

I'm not sure if any of you have got one of the really old sw cook books. I can't find mine but there is a recipe I really miss.

It's red pepper sauce that goes on pasta I remember it had rice in it too.

If anyone has it I would be very grateful

It's in the 125 Green Recipe Book when SYNS were called sins , HEXs were called 2 for you or EXTRA & Vecon was the only free stock and Frylight did not exist!

PASTA BOWS WITH RED PEPPER SAUCE
Serves 2

INGREDIENTS
2 Onions, chopped
1 Clove garlic, crushed
2 Red Peppers, deseeded & chopped
1 tsp paprika
1 level tblsp Tomato Puree 0.5 syns
284 ml / 1/2 pint vegetable stock (made from Vecon)
425g/15oz can chopped tomatoes
113g/4oz rice, cooked
Salt & pepper
113g/4oz pasta bows

Dry fry onions in the stock. Add all the other ingredients (except rice & pasta) & cook gently for about 20 mins. If it looks dry add a little water.
Liquidize adding the cooked rice. Return to the heat and warm gently.
Cook the pasta bows for approx 10 mins. Pour the hot sauce over the pasta and serve.
Sins negligible

That's the recipe, I remember making loads and freezing it was lush.

Oh I'm soooooo grateful for the recipe I thought I'd never find it

So off to shops tomorrow and cooking pasta sauce I shall be doing

Yes it's free and tastes lush, I used to make up a large batch and freeze it

I started looking through the book and there's loadsa old recipes there!!

Yes that book is cool I remember doing the diet years n years ago and was very success. I had that red book too there's a lush stir fry in there too.

I'm gonna make the pasta sauce tomorrow in a big batch and then freeze in plastic cups.
