Looking for ideas for a present

Im looking for a present for someone at work whos just retired.

First problem is its a man (women are SO much easier to buy for lol) hes in his very late 40s and hes a friend as well as a colleague, and I plan on keeping in touch with him. He helped me a lot when I was suffering from work related stress and Id like to get him a minding to mark the end of his working life

Any suggestions... oh and maybe around £20/£30 mark...

What are his interests? What is he going to do when he retires? Painting, gardening, walking, golf? If you can find out, then that should give you some ideas.

Hes going to set up his own business and start working again

Hes a keen rider but not into other sports etc
