lower carb 'milk'

hey guys, i bought a low-carb vegetarian cook book and read yesterday that light soya milk was low in carbs so i just checked the nutritional information against skimmed milk - and it is lower in cals and carbs -

skimmed milk 100ml has 33kcal and 5g carb and 0.1g fat

alpro soya light 100ml has 22kcal and 0.2g carb but 1.2g fat....

just tried some and its actually not that bad, (better than some of the soups ive forced down anyway!)

so a wee bit more fat but for me low fat diets dont work and low carb ones do!

does anyone know if its allowed on 810 or even as the allowance on ss+?

Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but just thought I'd say Tesco do there own brand which I'm sure they do in the 'light' version too, as my son is lacto-intolerant, so he has to have soya milk x

oops and meant to add, so that could work out cheaper than alpro - as there products can get expensive x

thats good to know as it is a bit expensive, thanks x

meant to add it was the unsweetened light version i bought.
