You're doing great Mandy xx

AHHH thanks for your comment, feeling really good... Hope things stay this way for a good while!

Hello, Mandy. Great start - you'll be amazed by how fast the time will go and the weight will shed away. I started a similar vlcd on 15 Dec and have shed 4.5 stones. It certainly is doable and works well.

Hi Mandy! Just read your diary. You sound determined which is great and you have shown you have the willpower to stick with it on LL and CD before.
I have yoyoed massively my whole life and with 45 approaching this year have decided enough is enough. No more shopping just for handbags because they are not affected by my size. I am also sick of just wearing black or avoiding social occasions altogether because I feel so gross and ashamed.
What are your plans re maintaining the weightloss this time? It is certainly the hardest bit. I find it so strange that I feel so good when I am slim but still go ahead and pile it all back on time and time again. Any ideas/tips would be appreciated! I look forward to reading about your progress! Good luck!

Hi Lara67... Thanks for stopping by, it's really comforting to know that people have taken the time out to say hi and wish me luck, I haven't told anyone about the diet so the only support I have is here on the forum, I seem to be on here all the time now, keeps my mind occupied and cures the boredom, I really enjoy reading other people's diaries and especially looking at before and after pics!!

Yes I did well on CD & LL but never finished or got to goal which I think is key, I have no idea how I'm going to maintain at the moment, I know that one thing I will continue to do is weigh myself regularly, I avoid the scales like the plaque, I was dreading my first weigh in on Wednesday before starting Exante, so much so I did my first day and weighed the next day :-0

I too feel good when slim, love to dress up, socialise, smile for pics, recently I became a bit of a hermit, my life has been work, home, Sainsbury's but it's not fair on my kids, I went to Barbados last year and didn't even go in the sea, how sad is that, right now I wouldn't be seen dead in a costume, never worn a bikini in my life, so many things I've missed out on I need to make a change for life not just the next 6 or 7 months...

Wishing you luck on your journey... I'll be keeping an eye on you too so be good ;-)

Hi AliGal... Wow 4.5 stone, well done you, once I do my first week 100% and get a decent loss I will be encouraged to carry on, I'm on day 4 and had my 1st pack at 5.30pm, I really wasn't hungry at all today, managed to have a 2nd shake and bar about 1/2 hr ago so that's it for the night, just sipping water until the morning, I've got a coke zero sitting here which I was planning to drink earlier this evening but I just feel to full which is great! Look forward to following your journey! :)

Well I'm off to bed soon, another day done, apart from running to the loo every 15 minutes am feeling fine, looking forward to my bar tomorrow, LOVE the toffee, nut & raisin bar, it's sooo lovely, I eat it crumb by crumb hoping it won't end :) going to try mushroom soup tomorrow for lunch, been putting it off as I just don't think I'll like it, hope it doesn't taste too bad... Anyway need to rush to the loo (again) I will be so fit going up and down the stairs to the loo 10 times a day, then it's bedtime for me, can't believe I'll be waking up to day 5, nearly a week done already!, Woop Woop!, :)

Yeah I know... Said I was going to bed but can't sleep so thought I'd list the following to remind me why I'm doing this;

REASONS I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT-

- To be healthy
- To wear the clothes I like but don't look good in
- To take the kids swimming
- To not feel embarrassed when I walk into a room
- To stop looking around a room and wondering if I'm the biggest one there
- To wear skinny jeans, jeans, trousers - no more thunder thighs
- To wear a swimming costume and swim in the sea
- To get on a bus without worrying if the next person to get on will have enough space if they sit next to me
- To wear a coat that doesn't make my arms look like the incredible hulk as he's transforming :-o
- TO STOP WEARING BLACK
- To look in a mirror and like what I see
- To stop hating myself so much that I don't want a man in my life, for fear of having to undress
- To feel sexy again and wear cute matching undies from M&S
- To wear nice bras that aren't like two tents - weightloss means smaller chest BIG +
- To walk out my front door feeling confident and not rushing across the road to jump in the car before members of the public see me
- To have the energy to do things with the kids
- To LIVE life and not waste the time I have on this earth thinking I'm too fat to do things
- To socialise and turn men's heads like the good old days- Remember the Toy Boy! ;-)
- To be the REAL me who's just waiting to get out of this body - need to get out of this trap
- To run and not feel I might knock myself out with my huge chest or even cause an earthquake

+ so many other reasons

You can do this - Believe in yourself!
So that's a start, in times of doubt I will check this list and Remember exactly why I'm on this journey!!

OMG OMG OMG - Just had a sneaky WI to see if my 100% No cheat efforts are paying of and guess what... Wait for it.... Drumroll:

I LOST 6LBS Wohoooooo - 6LBS in 4 days OMFG!

Now to start day 5

BRING IT ON :)

Mandy,

Great start! 6lbs is fab in 4 days. If you ever needed a reason to keep going.... I am nearing the end of week 5 and it really is part of my routine now. Once the first 2 weeks are nailed it really isn't that difficult - makes you wonder why we let things get so out of control in the first place!
Love your list - may print it out and stick it on the fridge - not sure my husband would appreciate the toyboy bit!!

Keep up the good work!!

Wow wow wow!!!!! That's amazing! Well done. How bloody exciting :) :) :) :)

Loving your reasons for wanting to lose the weight. Well you're nearly half a stone down! I'm made up for you xxxxx

Hi Sara, Lara,

Thanks for the comments I'm so chuffed... To think I could lose over 1/2 stone in a week. Can't wait for WI on Wednesday ;-)

How you both doing!!

Hi :) I'm doing ok. Had some coke zero before and felt really really naughty for doing so lol

Still 100% ts though which I can't quite believe. I never ever thought I had the will power to do a vlcd! The amazing results make it so worth wile. I can't wait to live up to my username and be slimsarah haha

You're doing brilliantly. Xxxx

So proud of myself another day done....woohoo day 6 tomorrow and I've been 100-%

Don't feel hungry

Feel full of energy

Feel a little bit slimmer

Skin starting to glow

Onwards and upwards-- - Bring on Day 6

Just had Mushroom Soup - wasn't too bad ;-)

At work, my desk looks so funny, I have a coke zero, sparkling water, plain water and cup of Bouillon, wow I am really keeping my liquids up...

Feeling good.. day 6!! weigh in on Wednesday

Hope your'e all having a good day....:p

Having a fabulous day, drinking loads of water and one little cherry diet coke, and cooking chicken curry for my mum in law and husband - no onions in hers! So I'll add DH's onions when it's cooked!

I don't feel tempted - but I am not cooking a lamb joint this Easter as I saw a recipe in YOU magazine yesterday which made my mouth water. So I think I'll avoid temptation by cooking something else for Easter lunch, which for me will be something made with an Alizonne savoury sachet!

Wow SlimSarah - you are doing great! And Mandy - fabulous start, my dear. And all tooled up with things to drink.

I think keeping my liquids up is the only thing that keeps me on the straight and narrow. As soon as I feel remotely hungry, if it is a bit early for a shake, I down a green tea or a diet coke. I know we are meant to drink coke zero but I have found that diet coke works fine for me and helps rather than hinders.

You sound completely in the right frame of mind to stick with it long term - brilliant!!

Note to self- Is there a place on here to swap packs I wonder, I don't really like Choc Orange Bars, would love to swap with someone who loves them for the toffee, raisin bar!?

Must look into it...
