    How do you do yours?
What potatoes do you use? I am finding that a lot of potatoes just disintergrate in the water and leaves the mash watery.
How do you make it creamy tasting without syns?
    Thanks Sue x

I just use any white potatoes, usually Tesco cheapest pack, but I like King Edwards best for flavour.
As long as you put the potatoes in cold water and bring to the boil they shouldn't disintegrate, but there are always exceptions to the rule!

To make it creamy I put in either my Hea of LC ex light triangles, or quark or 0% fat Total Greek yogurt and lots of salt and pepper.

I've been getting a special variety of potatoes from Asda thatclaimto be so buttery in taste you don't need to add any. Not sure I'd go that far but they are lovely. And I just add a Butter Bud (from lakeland) at half a syn along with some milk from my HEa.

    Hi Lady Pancho
It sounds to me like you are overcooking them.. If i was you just put a knife in when you are cooking them when the knife goes in there done, then mash them. i usually mash mine then stir in cottage cheese (plain one) and mix it upi then microwave it for a minute so it melts a bit and it goes creamy.

Hope you dont think i am telling you how to suck eggs!

i use standard white potatoes lol i use milk from my allowance and if i want a bit more a creamy a nob of spread usually works :) i find if u chop the potatoes up small then bring to boil and leave to boil for about 20 mins the potatoes are usually soft enough to mash - add the milk from your allowance and theyre usually creamy enough :)

I use standard white potatoes, boil them up and simmer for about 10 minutes (until they are soft) then mash them up with a couple of teaspoons of clover lighter (2 syns)

I cook my potatoes in chicken stock, gives them a lovely flavour.

If I have a syn or two spare I will add a little bit of low fat spread.
