Melting the Fat

Melting the fat

I started this weight loss journey back in February 2010. I had a bmi of 57 and was eating myself into an early grave. Here I am 6 months later and 100lbs lighter and feeling so much better about myself and my life.

It hasn't always been easy, there have been weeks where my body has stubbornly held onto the fat it has cherished for so many years, but each week I have persevered and knew that the weight would eventually follow.

I had a slim and feeling good day. scales showed 13st 7lbs in the morning. I had gone to the charity shops on the way home from work the night before and picked up two jackets. Great little woollen suit jackets both size 16 still wearing a size 18/20 underneath but its progress! I did alot of reflecting recently on my journey so far as a rep from my hotels food supplier had come in, she had not seen me in a few months so noticed the difference and asked me a ton of questions. I can see how my mentality has changed. No longer is food a "treat" its just a necessity, fuel for my body and I am choosing the best fuel I can for it at present then when I move up the plans I shall continue to do so. My treats now are pampering products or clothes and they are both addictions I much prefer and my body does too.

Walking to work yesterday morning in my new red jacket and size 16 trousers made me feel amazing, I felt "normal" not the fat freak waddling down the street. when people look at me now I believe they are looking at what I am wearing or the blob of toothpaste on my chin rather than the obesity. Ultimately what I am trying to say is that I feel human, I feel a part of society, I feel sexy and confident and most of all I feel like me. So thank you CWP for giving me that gift.

My lovely boss has returned from his holidays and despite knowing I am on a diet, proudly presented me with a box of luxury german chocolates.....
I checked the best before date and its not till May next year and I will be at goal before then, so my choccies are getting squirrelled away until I can choose to have the pleasure of them at a later date.

Switching to 4 packs and milk instead of 3 and mini meal seems to be doing well for me on ss+. I popped on the scales and that was another pound off this morning. maybe the combination of my 810 week and the pure liquids is giving me the kick start I need.
