Metallic taste

hoping for a good loss

Eat to live don't live to eat!
Its the ketones escaping (I think) I don't get it very often but brushing your teeth helps for a bit, thats what I do anyway! Just think of it as the fat escape taste lol!!!

hoping for a good loss
Am really going to be sick now lol.

I thought it was because of me smoking to begin with, but having given up for a few days (it didn't last mind you) I still had that awful taste.

Bye bye fat I suppose yippeeeeee

I know how you feel hun. I get a really sweet taste in my mouth when I'm in ketosis. It's very irritating, but I just count it as a blessing that I'm in ketosis, and it's better than getting the smelly ketosis breath, which I don't get luckily. Give me the sweet taste over that anyday.
ooh, I get a yellowy/green furry Tongue and really nasty smelly breath and NOTHING I do gets rid of it! not brushing my teeth, not chewing gum, not using mouthwash or a breath spray! it's a real major pain in the a**e! my poor poor hubby :-(
wish mine would go too, its not as bad as it was but for me its not ketosis as im on the 1000 plan but still get the metallic taste after i have my 2 shakes, maybe it will only go when you're not having any CD products at all

hoping for a good loss
great!!!!!! months and months of yucky metallic taste then. Oh well, will learn to live with it I suppose

This is the last time!!
I have it all of the time too. It's hard because part of my job is to talk to parents when they drop off and collect their children and I am so paranoid I offending them with my breath! All I do is shove a piece of sugar free orbit in about 5 mins before they are due to come, chew it a couple of times til it is soft and then have it sat in my mouth for a few minutes, occasionally sucking it! Sounds weird I know but it helps me out! I also invested in a toothbrush with a tongue scraper on the back and it really does help.
There's nothing worse for me tho than waking up with a disgusting mouth, eurgh it makes me feel ill! And poor hubby is not getting many kisses either :(

Oh, also, even tho it tastes grim it might not always smell bad - my dentist told me to test for bad breath you should lick your wrist and then smell it. Sometimes even when the taste is bad the smell isn't (for me anyway!)
