MinkyDinkys SW Success Diary!!

OMG where and when did a spider bite you?!?!? That looks sore and I agree looks like it could be starting with an infection. I think you probably need some antibiotics and they might want to swab it, maybe give you a more substantial dressing than just a plaster to protect it.

You poor thing! x

It was back at the end of march so its been around a while. No idea what spider or how because I woke up with it. I'll stop at the pharmacy after work and see what they say first :) xx

Friggin 'ell! Get that seen to lady! Xx

Oh that looks so sore Minks - deffinitely get it checked out - I ended up with cellulitis on my leg the other week - squeezed a spot/ingrown hair  it didnt take long for the infection to start spreading down my leg so I would make sure you get it checked out asap - I am all fine now after antibiotics though!

Hope it is not too sore in the meantime.

Hey Minks, owwwwwwwwww to your spider bite  as the others have said I think you should go to docs...
Your inch loss is amazing, im going to measure myself tonight as im feeling inspired by you! xx

Oh and good luck for weigh in x

Guess what just happened to me....?

Yeah you probably wouldn't be able to so I'll let you in on a disgusting secret.

I just caught my spider bite.

It ripped off the 'scab'.

I have a ghastly looking hole on my wrist
*look away if you don't like grossness*<img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=89724"/>

Sob!

Okay I haven't read anymore from this picture but I am a nurse so pleaaaaaaase go to your practice nurse.
As I mentioned before that black stuff wasn't a scab its necrotic (dead) tissue WHICH IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT - just putting that out there as I promise you it's nothing to worry about. That yellow liquidy squishy stuff is called 'slough' which is infected tissue that needs a proper dressing on to remove it as its covering and stopped the healthy tissue developing. I promise you if you go to your local gp practice nurse she'll give you a proper dressing and it will be sorted so much quicker. You might need antibiotics too.

It's really nothing scary or worrying but you need to get that slough off for it to heal properly xx

Ok ok so before I get my arm amputated by Nurse Fran the butcher or told off by Nurse Emma not the butcher, I promise to get it looked at properly. Its just such a pain going to my docs because its the other side of town.

As for WI I'm just hoping for any form of a loss. I'd rather a smaller loss this week and then a whopper next week (purely selfish reasons.... I wanna win SOTW!!) So 1.5-2 would be nice. I'm on the 12 week challenge and next week is 5 scan bran and 5 glasses of water a day, will be hard but I'm hoping that will boost my loss for the following week.

Got to by 4 packets of the bloody cardboard today! At least before that starts I have a nice cheesy kiev to scoff tonight woo! Xx

Hehe yes I know it's a pain but better to get it looked at before the infection gets really bad & it will be all nice and healed and it will make you definitely feel 100% better!

What is this 12 week challenge you're doing? I did 777 and enjoyed so I do like myself a challenge. Have a pack of scan bran in my cupboard which I've never used, is it nice?
