Mint Choc Shake

#1
Right, I started CD today, as I keep harping on about! I was a little worried as i do not drink milk or have most dairy products due to some weird throat thing. I only got 3 shakes from CDC as I though i'd at least try them. I have just mixed up the Mint Choc and guess what...I LOVE IT!!! YAY!!:bliss:

My CDC said she'd swap any I found I didn't like. Haven't tried any hot yet but might give hot chocolate a whirl tonight.

The Mint Choc shake is by far the loveliest tasting - tastes like Mint Aero!
I HATE the porridge - just tried it and it was vile!! :jelous:
I couldnt agree more, i had the porridge yesterday, and at first thought it was ok, but actually....yuk!

I had a warm chocolate shake this morning with some coffee added and it was lush!!

I have to say, im enjoying the packs more than I thought i would....minus the porridge...:D

I just tried the mint choc, it was nice and I had it warm, I just wish I could have it with proper boiling water but then again it may be more the taste of the nutrients that I can taste coming through....does anyone know why your not meant to mix it with boiling water?

I'd love to try this:cry::cry: But I have found in the past that just having a morsel of chocolate leads to two morsels then ten, until I am eating more chocolate than proper food.:cry:

my CDC said that using boiling water would harm the vitamins and nutrients. not quite sure if that is right, but you know, in this diet i think you have to accept a lot of things without fully understand it!
i haven't had any urge to have them hot, in my head it would make it really horrible, not sure why though!!

I know that vegetables lose their vitamins when overcooked, they are lost in the surrounding water, but Im not sure how it applies to the food packs.....might be because the vitamins are 'denatured' when exposed certain temperatures, meaning the heat destroys their shape and they no longer fuction the way they are supposed to.......A possible explanation I suppose....:D

Also - the lactose free choc shake is thicker than the normal one and a bit tastier, in my opinion! Are we still allowed to make crisps out of the chicken and mushroom packs?
Got to ask?: Crisps out of the chicken & Mushroom packs????

There's a sticky on recipes with foodpacks somewhere I think?

I don't like the normal shakes hot. I don't like the soups either. But I do like both porridges and half a choc tetra topped up with hot water :D
