Mint tea on CD??

Does anyone know if we can have black tea with mint leaves in it on the CD? And whats the best thing to use to sweeten our hot drinks?

Hi Jenbob, welcome aboard.

Yes black tea with mint leaves is fine - any leaf tea is fine, in fact (but not fruit teas).

Best thing to sweeten with is a tablet sweetener like Sweetex, Hermesetas, etc - not the powder stuff as that has more carbs in and might mess about with getting into ketosis.

Hi Jenbob,

My LL counsellor told us -- from the leaf not the root... but I drink Ginger tea and it has never affected my ketosis or weight loss.

Most CDCs will tell you that tablet sweetners like Splenda are okay, but not the powered ones (more carbs, I think).

Hi all,

im on day 2 of ss, just had my mint tea (with sweetners...yuk) but im sure i'l get used to it.
I tried a black coffee yesterday without sweetners and i think i prefer that. Iv always hated sweetners, they taste bitter.
Hope i can keep this up!
