Moo's year - 24 st start and restart

Hey Waffle :) yey fir meeting up. Great.

Im doing good today - scale were so kind to me. First time under 110. SP working wonders for me. Will do two more days on SP and fingers crossed for my 7st award on Saturday morning :)

Spend all morning in bank. My hubby love to talk and the guy we meet in bank loved to talk too. Two hours to change our bank accounts and get saving account. Other hand we got so much useful info same time but 2 hours. … Im not complaining in overall, not often you meet someone who is so honest and helpful. I remember how hard it was for me to open my account in first place and how mean / unprofessional some of them were Im glad to meet someone who takes hes time and really does the best to help us.

Back home and had my lunch.
Herring with cottage cheese and fresh salad. Crisp bread and soft cheese. Plus one hi fi bar - all my hea and heb is used for today.

Destamia you now have another fan. I think you're fantastic! The weight loss journey for very overweight people can seem like an endless endurance test. At my highest weight I was 21st 6lb. I managed to lose 11 stones over a few years and felt great. Four years of maintenance (mostly low-carbing) suddenly caved-in after my Dad passed away. Other family problems hit at the same time, and I gradually crumbled.

I weight 15st 13lb now (from 17st last Autumn) and I am determined to get back to my slimmer and fitter self.

Good luck to you - and to all of us - and a very happy new year xx

I have to say, unbelievable achievement yourself SS - and yes you've put some back on but no where near the 21st you started at. What plan are you following?

Yummy yummy yummy!!

Moo what's the recipe for your chicken and bean curry? What beans are they? It looks fantastic! I want to try it for dinner tonight. I normally make a pizza with cauliflower base on a Friday but being on extra easy SP right now means less cheese than I would've had on an original day, so can't make the cauliflower base. What do you think of SP moo? I don't really like it. Sunday is my last day xx

Welcome and very well done one your weight loss. I know it seems like to lose weight will take forever but for me for very first time I have no doubt I will get there =) You will get to your taget too, Im sure you will - you done it before and you know how it feels. Also I know how easy it it to slip and how fast weight gets back , have done it so many times before. Together tho we will get to target - all of use =) Have a happy new year too and one more time welcome =) Hope you will enjoy yourself here =)

Hey Timmi - I will need to try cauliflower pizza and other great things I can see people doing from it.
The curry is from every day extra easy book. Do you have that book ? If not I will write it down for you here =) I just added beans. I had 3 different kind of bean- chilli beans, brown beans and something else. Dont really know how they were called.
I found first week SP hard. Now I dont find it so hard anymore I think I get use to not have potatoes and rice- Im not big yogurt eater anyway so I dont miss that so much - tbh , before joining sw and almost never had yogurt. Dont like it. and I can live without bananas and grapes too. So not to bad. GOod thing about SP is that it does make my weight move and somehow Im so full while Im doing SP. I had 3 meals yesterday - the two I put down here and 3 one was pears. That was all I needed. Ofc the first meal was late too but still, on EE I was eating more. I was thinking to do EE and SP together. Last week I had 1 SP day , this week 4. Im sure I will have SP days next week to , but weekend Ill be on EE =) Will do something nice - not sure what tho :)
Smiles =)

I will Moo, I want to get used to the EE plan first as I don't want to confuse myself :)

I think I would like SP though as I don't eat much rice or pasta anyway so wouldn't miss that but would struggle without my banana I think, By the time I am ready to try it I am sure everyone will be able to tell me whether it is worth doing :)

I am nervous but looking forward to weigh in tonight :) my friend I go with is nervous as she thinks she has gained because she didn't stick to it as rigidly, I said she should try it for a month and see if she sees a difference and decide then, as this is only week one, plus I recommended that she plan her meals as that has helped me :) do you have any other tips for newbies? X

I have planned our meals for next week and have my shopping coming before I go to SW... Must not raid shopping before I go lol x

Hey Blinks - well done on your first week on SW =) Really happy for you. How did you friend do ? There is few things that I did - I cooked myself and even tho you can use ready or half done meals , I cooked all myself to make sure everything is low syn or syn free. Plan your meals ( I dont do it anymore week ahead tho , I find it very hard to stay on plan ), but when you good at planing your meal , keep doing it. Saves money, time and you dont have to worry what you having for dinner. Use slow-cooker if you have one, if you dont, get one. Slow cooker is amazing tool that have helped me out many times. Due my work , I use it night time. But when you work long hours you can put your meal in before you go to work and when you come back your meal is ready. Check your book if you are unsure - I have done sw almost a year and only 2 weeks ago I found out that smoked mackerel is not syn free - who knew , lol ( aa book maybe if I would open it more then ones a week on my WI ) Try different things. I find out that when I change my meals often I get better results then when I did something similar every day and one more tip for you - If you havent had burger in bowl - Try it =) Its amazing. Maybe I will have it today too - just need to make sure it suits with SP ;)
If you dont have recipe for it, let me know and Ill put it down in here =)
Smiles and keep going =)

I don't have that extra easy book moo. Ahh I love yogurt and used to enjoy having 1 a day at breakfast so I'm finding it hard having no yogurt for a whole week! I don't eat a lot of pasta, potato and rice but I'll have one portion about twice a week so it's weird having none for 7 days! I think next week I'll do EE and original. Moo you should start a recipe thread on here. Your food looks so so good!

Hehe Timmi thank you but I dont think my food is anything special.

So for curry you will need ;
Chicken
Onions
Garlic
Chili and Ginger - if you want. I like it spice.
Tomato puree and chopped tomatoes.
Curry powder or any other curry spice you have
Beans - I had 3 different ones.
Fresh coriander if you like.
Salt, pepper, sweetener / sugar

Cut the chicken, onion, garlic , chili and ginger. Put them all on pan and fry until the onion is nice and soft and chicken half way cooked. Season with curry powder, salt and pepper but not to much of salt , you can always add more later. Then add spoonful on tomato puree /pasta and little sweetener to get rid of sour taste of tomatoes.Fry about 2 min. Add chopped tomatoes and if needed little water. Turn town the heat and let it cook about 20 min until meat is soft. When meat is ready add beans and let it turn to boil. Last tasting add salt if needed ( or chicken stock if you like more stronger taste ) and you done.
If you like creamy curry you can add quark. Its fine to use quark at SP days. :)
Hope it helped you sweet Timmi and you will enjoy your curry :)
