Oh my gosh, need a slapping.

I can feel myself becoming too complacent and pleased with myself for being at target, and although i gained 1 lb this week, which i was perfectly happy with concidering and intended to shift this week, iv just caved and eaten my sisters home made betty crocker fudge brownie, it was a tiny one, but calorific for sure.. but its not really about the brownie.. its just about how i feel.. there no urgency or need anymore...

can anyone else give me any wise words on staying at target?? its all bin about loosing up untill this point and yet i feel this is going to be the hardest bit of it yet.

:( would really appriciate some help so i can catch myself out now before i get silly! x

since iv not got to target i cant give first hand advice.but this time last year i was 8.5 stone(i had slimmed down for my prom and holiday with friends) and then i went to uni and within a year i had gone up almost 2 stone!!!
and the thing was is i didnt even notice it happening.it was jst little bits that piled up.and i began to feel so down about myself and lived in chocolate.
so the only advice i can give is to keep thinking about how fantastic you feel now, because it doesnt take much to slip into old habits.by every means enjoy yourself and i wouldnt feel too bad about a brownie or so every so often.
but make sure you still have the feeling of being good the rest of the time.instead of hoping for a loss just hope to stay the same!
that would be my advice anyway.:)

Fern- Never been at target so I can't comment, but I really think you should go a little easy on yourself.

Being at target is about 'normalising' your eating without going too far the other way. This will be difficult, but you have to remember that your frame of mind is key.

NORMAL PEOPLE EAT CHOCOLATE BROWNIES!!!

But........they eat them in moderation and eat healthily most of the rest of the time- sounds to me like this is what you are doing. Don't demonise treat food and don't peck your head about the occasional treat.

Sounds to me like you are doing fine, mate

Thanks girls.. it wasnt so much eating the actual brownie, it was realising i'd picked it up and put it in my mouth without any concideration.. and i was just 'oo panic!' - Have to say though, the brownie was good! But it was just a moment where i felt like i was starting to get lazy!

your right, just need to keep on top of it like i normally do.. but remind myslef i dont need to push myself that extra bit futher to loose it?

Hun...now that you are at atarget, you can have these things, but in moderation. The idea is to eat sensibly as the others have said. I know that you have suddenly gone from not being able to eat brownies as they had too many syns, but now you can have a little bit and not worry.
If you had sat down and eaten the whole lot, that would give you more cause to panic!!!
Lol...enjoy it, just know when you have had enough!

Well done for being at target.
