Mummies must haves!!

Back again!!
Hey all

I've found loads of things recently that have made life so much easier or have been on sale so thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where we can share new/useful products or things on sale. I know we've got the pregnancy & advice thread but it's quite fast moving so thought it better for us to have a product related thread where if we find something we can share it on here.
Hope it works!!

I'll start us off:

Just bought the Angelcare bath support. I wanted a bath support for Cole so he could go in the big bath rather than using the baby bath now he's getting wriggly. The bath support has a rubber back which moulds to his body but has holes in it to let the water through then his back gets washed too. He loves it, he kicks his legs like mad and has a massive grin on his face when he's in it!!
I got it for £25 from John Lewis but they sell it in Mamas & Papas too :)

I want a bath support for Seth but a bit worried that we'll not get much life out of one with him being quite long. Does it give any indication with ages, how long you can use it for, etc? xxx

Good thread :) subscribing xx

It says 6 months on the packaging. This is Cole in his (covering his bits, obviously!!)

He's not particularly long but it supports him between his legs so he doesn't slide off, although you do have to watch them as Cole got a bit over excited with the kicking ;) but that goes without saying, obviously I knew you knew that!!

subscribing too x

For any new mums who are going to formula feed.... the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep machine is awesome :)

"Makes a fresh bottle at correct temperature in less than 2 minutes.Filter system removes impurities present in water.Initial ‘hot shot’ of water kills bacteria that may be present in formula.Dispenses correct amount of water for a more accurate and consistent dilution. This Perfect Prep™ machine measures in UK ounces."

Agreed!!!!

For all you parents who use the white noise app on your phones, I've just ordered a Ewan The Dream Sheep from Kiddicare. It's not cheap at £30 but apparently it's brilliant. It plays white noise and lights up. It's coming tomorrow so will let everyone know what it's like when we've had a play.

Just to add to this - a couple of my friends bought this for their little girl when she was a baby and she still loves it now at the age of two. It plays pink noise as well as white noise and that's apparently supposed to be soothing for toddlers. So it's a long term investment!

It's been on my wishlist for ages ever since my friends recommended it to me so again money permitting...

I have bought something similar to this but it's a bear white noise thing. Glad to hear it's meant to be good.
Any recommendations on monitors it's blowing my mind!!

I'd definitely recommend a video one. Since Cole has been 10 weeks old we put him to bed in our room at 7pm and watch him on the monitor. If we didn't have the video I'd be up and down stairs all night with the noises he makes!! Actually, I wouldn't because, without it, I wouldn't be putting him to bed on his own!

We got this one:

It's by Summer and was about £85 from Kiddicare. The only downside is the monitor has to be plugged in to work so I can't take it around the house with me unless I can plug it in.

Also, not sure how others have got on with them but I've heard bad things about Motorola ones. My dad had to take three different ones back and I've had a couple of friends who've said they're rubbish too.

I've borrowed an angel care mat monitor n not impressed at all with it
N after lots of recommendations I'm going to buy a video one. We have the angel care one indefinitely do no need for me to buy one... But that's how dis-satisfied I am with it...
Tho some of the girls here wud disagree...
