my christmas challenge

ok well firstly i vow to give up yoyo dieting in the new year, but ive just had a bad two weeks and im back up to 14'7 and its 4.5 weeks to xmas so i wanna look my best.

someone told me today i could lose 28lbs in 28days if i put my mind to it.

so here is day 1. 14.7

i am going to try my very best and see if this works. each day i will let you all know how i am doing.


monday 24th-day 1

breakfast

3 egg whites and mixed berries in a smoothie

lunch

half cup of pilau rice and free veg soup

dinner

bowl of pilau rice and free veg soup

snacks

apple and carrots


tomorrow i am aiming to eat six small meals at two hour intervals.

exercise

40 minutes of power walking

Hi babe, i think your targets should be more realistic, firstly what is your BMI? In my opinion its impossible to lose 28lbs in 28days.. let me explain..

3,500 calories = 1lb

According to what the person says above youll be eating 3,500calories less everyday... im 99% sure you dont eat 3,500cals a day which means youd have to starve for 28days to lose 28lbs, a realistic target is around 1-2lbs away but if you work hard you can lose a stone in a month, if you need any more help or advice just let me know :)

i know youre probably right. but to be honest ive been eating so much crap lately id love a detox. so im hoping i can lose about ten pounds of fluid newho. plus ive a dairy and wheat intolerance and i know giving up that alone will help me. to be honest im aiming for inches more than pounds, so im just gonna do my best..
im down three pouns since yesterday and while i know its water i feel much better already. i suppose its more a a 28 day detox. and im just gonna see what happens

overall im happy. so please continue to support me to make a go at it. its the kickstart i really need. christmas isnt generaly that bad for me usually because i dont have alot of christmas parties and i am not the biggest drinker.


for those out there thinking that 28lbs is too high a target, i know. you see im an all or nothing girl, in short im addicted to food, and i find that i succeed way more when i keep to a healthy regime. in the new year im going to try and over come compulsive overeating but over the past few weeks ive felt so crap after all the junk i was eating that i decided i needed a kick start to put me in good spirits again. last new year, i was 13 and a half stone for my 21st and im determined to be that again for xmas, after that we'll just see but any more off will be much appreciated!


p.s. if it works i will be recruiting people for the post xmas detox!!! ;)

Your not doing bad at all, Weekends are always my let downs, ive put on 2lbs this week, not happy but i have been bad, im even more determined this week :)

oh hunny i know. weekends are desperate. friday ur like oooh its the weekend lets do something and eat something tasty, same idea sat and same idea sun. but listen hey we all fall off the wagon so the main thing is that we just get right back up again!!! i nearly gave up this week but then i just looked in the mirror and saw not only the weight but how miserable i looked. so its about being happy and healthy!!!


fortunately i dont drink much but much as i love healthy food im a choc/chip/icecream/pizzaholic! even as i type i crave chips. but no cos day four and i can already feel the end of the first week, my eyes are brighter, im not as tired, not bloated. im feeling pretty good. lost a half a pound yesterday, so happy out. just gonna keep going with it until christmas. have also made out a plan for christmas that while i will indulge on christmas day i plan to do my best to even it out. i dont wanna blow it all one one holiday. theres alot more to christmas than food! (although its a hefty part!!! :p)

anyway day four and we're doing good so happy out.

big smoothie- lots of berries, orange juice and 2 egg whites. yummy! 1 packet of mini honey flavoured rice cakes

snack, well i had a hefty morning at college whichc ran way past lunch, so i had 3 packs of the rice cakes(mini single packs, not s in full packets!).i am annoyed cos i should have brought fruit in but i just think of what i could normally do under stress and that would have been, packet of crisps, chocolate and a scone with butter so hey baby steps! its all a learning curve!

no to be honest ive lost interest in the goal. its not important. i feel so much better because im eating things that agree with me. the weight will come off when its ready. im 14 stone 1.5 lbs and if i lost ten pounds between now and xmas id be happy. im just gonna keep going and see what happens.

smoothie-in the mood for something sweet, filling and tasty to keep me going for the morning, so put in a low fat non dairy version of a favourite smoothie of mine called monkey business.

orange juice,
one banana
teaspoon of peanut butter
1 egg whites
dash of honey
some oats(just a small handful)

snacks

apple
small bowl of oats throughout the day
1 rye slice with a teaspoon of peanut butter

dinner
ok so went for dinner with my boyfriend right to a place called gourmet burger in dublin, now as you can guess from the name it specialises in burgers Now normally in a place like this id eat like a huge beef burger with a huge cheesy topping and sauce with a side of fries and it would be a bap. plus id dip the fries in like garlic mayo. Tonight i opted for a goats cheese and aubergine burger, with no bun and a side salad and some relish. i shared some chips with my boyfriend and i had no sauce. i drank a litre of water after and i walked for an hour uphill. so all in all i was happy with myself.

yay!!! so far i feel great because i am not eating as much crap as id normally eat, ive cut down on the wheat and dairy and i just feel like my eyes are brighter and im more alert.

anywho the plan for today is

ww tikka misala and treble crunch

chicken breast with garlic and topped with a small few breadcrumbs(homemade!)
home made over chips, low fat garlic mayo and peas.

ok really happy. lost just over 7 pounds this week and my energy levels are great! today had a treat day as in had some wheat but not too much. i still sticking to the diet but im not depriving myself


breakfast

half slice toast, 1 boiled egg and 2 grilled rashers with a spoonful of fried potato.

lunch

1 and a half small slices of brown bread with five baked lemon sole goujons and and a teaspoon of low fat mayo

dinner

chicken in a small puff pastry case, boiled carrots peas and parsnips, roast potatoes.

going out tonight to drink water but i will dance my socks off!

Hey you, sorry for not being that active lately, your doing amazingly good, im so jealous, ive been going over my cal count limit this weeknd (1,500 a day) by about 400 a day but its not to bad because its a weekend, how are you? x

Heya guys! been a hectic few days so sorry for not being in contact. the story is im still doing great. still 14 stone on the button so happy about that. am quite sick with excema at the moment as a result of the cold weather so im inbound and limited to walking today. but im back on the smoothies and soups and loads of water! my only downfall is i had a full bag of microwave popcorn today and a bowl of oats! but i think back to two weeks ago and i am happy!!! :) newho here are monday and tuesday and todays diarys, not amazing but not bad.


Monday 1st

breakfast bowl of fruit
lunch 5 lemon sole goujons
afternoon snack 4 rice cakes and ham
dinner potato gnocchi in mushroom soup and peas with half of a chicken en croute

Tuesday

up early to get train and didnt prepare anything sooo had papya, yoghurt and nut bar and lots of orange juice as im quite sick

lunch in town before college meeting with supervisor

thai chicken soup with coconut and mushroom and sweet chilli wrap

(not the healthiest)

dinner 3/4 bag microwave popcorn and oats.

wednesday 3rd december

smoothie with orange peanut butter and banana and bowl of oats
bag of popcorn microwave (i know)
5 small rye crackers with a banana and peanut butter

so tomorrow back on the straight and narrow! still though down half a stone in a week and a half. wahoo!

well its been an iffy week. very stressed out with final year, exhausted and have a face covered with eczema so not too happy. still managing to retain quite healthy though, have avoided wheat as much as possible and havent really touched dairy.

had this morning an orange, banana, honey and spinach smoothie with a teaspoon of peanut butter

thursday 4th december

lunch at 3 was a mexican faghita wrap, a homemade back of crisps and a nutrigrain. not the best but it was the best of a bad college option. wil go to the supermarket tonight and stock up on fruit and veg so i can juice the hell out of it for the next week!

dinner

couldnt resist it- bag of microwave popcorn!

exercise- 40 minute power walk. weights session. squats lunges and back presses.

ok so im an nearly half way through the 28 days and i am down over half a stone so i am a happy camper. yesterdays day was meh and im having a full breakfast with my bf before we go xmas shopping, but the biggest thing ive noticed is im only eating when im hungry. to be honest the 28lbs isnt important. i am doing a juice detox from tomorrow until next sat as a friend of mine does them regularly and finds the cleanse brilliant. i stocked up yesterday so im ready to roll.

will do a weigh in tomorrow to start it off. but all in all im happy.

today was sooooo nice. i had a the loveliest day with my bf and it didnt revolve around food! at 11 we did have a full brekkie but it was all grilled and no grease, then at 4 we split a sundae and a milkshake as we went xmas shopping and that was something i did as a kid with my dad every year and just thought hey why not.for dinner ill just have some soup if even cos im still stuffed. this past few weeks ive really been trying to battle compulsive overeating and im so glad to feel that im finally succeeding. my bf has been really supportive and i just feel as though ive come on so much. normally on treat days id literally eat a shop out of choc, ice cream and pizza, have a takeway, and just pig, but today i had a treat as in one treat and i dont feel hard done by in fact i enjoyed it more than any treat ive ever had. heres to minimins for all your love and support and heres to us slimmers for doing our best and what more for wanting to do it!
