Hello

I have been prescribed Orlistat/xenical to help me lose weight.

I have quite a lot of weight to lose and hope these tablets can help me.

I go back to the doctors in 4 weeks for a weigh in.

I was not really given much information but came across this forum and I have found all the information I need.

I have been reading some of your diary which I find inspirational and really think I can do it.

I am going to take my first tablet on sunday.

I will keep you updated with my progress. :)
 
Just spent 3 hours shopping in Tesco's :(
Did not realise how much fat was in food but I did a weeks shop for half the price..

Downside with the rain, I looked like a drowned rat!!

Wow! I thought buying different food would cost me more but I saved money :)

I have gone through my cupboards, fridge and freezer and thrown out everything above 5% fat.

So ready to to this.....
 
I decided yesterday that today is the day I will begin making changes in my life to better my health and hapiness.

I weighed myself this morning and I am 14.8.6. I have planned all my meals today too and will do everyday.

I decided that I want to give up alcohol - it is not worth the empty calories.

I had no idea how many calories is in a small bottle of vodka - 970 calories.

I normally drink one small bottle, most nights - not anymore.

I know it is going to hard but I am going to push through and do this!

Also in a couple of weeks, I want to give up smoking. I did not want to give up everything all together as I thought to would be too much.

Well done on the shopping & yes alcohol is very empty cals. Don't get me wrong i drink socially & when i drink i really drink ;) but as my hubby isn't a drinker I never drink at home....
 
My first day is nearly over...

Breakfast: Cup of tea
Porridge
Snack: Special K biscuit moments
Lunch: Domino pastavita
Weight watchers hoops
Snack: 2 plums
Dinner: Liver, bacon & mash with veg
Yoghurt
Can of diet coke

I have drunk about 2 litres of water

I also walked for an hour

Today has been a good first day, have felt quite hungry at times but I am hoping this will subside :)

Snack: 2 plums
Dinner: Liver, bacon & mash with veg
Yoghurt
Can of diet coke

I have drunk about 2 litres of water

I also walked for an hour

Today has been a good first day, have felt quite hungry at times but I am hoping this will subside :)

Careful with the fat content in the Special K things & the ww crisps but apart from that it looks like a good day
 
Ww crisps are 3.5g per 100g and 0.7g per 20g bag.

Just checked the special k biscuit moments and they are a little higher then 5g.

Pot of pineapple
Snack: Special k biscuit moment
Lunch: Salmon & tomato sandwich
Weight watchers hoops
Zero lilt
Snack: Banana & apple
Dinner: Fish pie & veg
Yoghurt
Diet coke

I have drank about 2 litres of water

I walked for an hour today

I have found today very hard, been feeling really hungry. Nearly cracked today but I wad strong! Yay me!!

Pot of pineapple
Cup of tea
Snack: 2 plums
Special k biscuit moments
Lunch: Plain chicken & tomato sandwich
Weight watchers hoops
Snack: Apple
Dinner: Tesco light choices sweet & sour
Chicken
Yoghurt
Glass of diet coke

I have drunk about 2 litres of water

I have walked for over an hour today

Today has been a good day, definitely felt fuller and the hunger pains are going slowly.

Just trying to find an alternative to lunch as my sandwiches although in fat are quite high in calories plus I think I may need to cut down on my snacks.

I have set my calories goal as 1500 but I am finding myself going over by 100.

You could have Ryvitas - i eat those because i don't eat Bread
