NannyDoreen & Upndown's daily diaries

Hee-Hee I have uncrossed everything now cos I know u've had a brilliant loss! Sorry U are feeling a bit low - I hope that loss has given you a boost! You sound very organised with ur food for the week. Well done on resisting the cheese!xxx

That's exactly what I was thinking, Linda - just how organised Doreen is for next week! You're showing me up! And, absolutely, WAHOO! for losing that two and a half pounds! So good, especially when you're not expecting it. :) Your weight's gone down, now we need your mood to go up!! Seriously though, I hope you're feeling more your old self very soon, Doreen. Big hugs to you. xxx

Good luck xx

Aw, what a lovely idea! Might mention that at school for when there's another book event. :) xx

Yes I thought that was good too - shd have thought everyone cd manage that and not much effort? Hope ur ok Kathy and that u enjoy ur weekend xx

Really fed up today - know I shdn't have done it but I weighed myself at Boots today and nearly fell off the scales when they showed I'd had a 6lb gain!! :( And that's after the best 10 days dieting and exercise I've done in ages - so how can that be?! Ok I had 13.5 syns yesterday but I was 10 syns or under on all the other days!

I've also caught the bug my hubby and DiL had earlier in the week - sore throat/aching and generally feeling urrrgh.

So having had a good day as u'll see below - I've just gone and eaten an Alpen Light and a bag of Snack a Jacks - a total of 9 more syns - taking total to 19 - what a wally! Hope everyone's had a better day than me! xx

Brunch: cheese hea, omelette, tin spaghetti on toast - heb
Dinner: SW meatballs and pasta - small amount
Snacks: pear, orange, choc 10 syns, I think! Alpen Light 4 syns, Snack a Jack 5 syns = 19!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh upndown its sooo upsetting isnt it? My hubby weighed today and after a week of eating virtually nothing but fish and rice or pulses hed put on 4lb!!! He says he will never take the p again when i have gains unecessarily. He cant quite understand it all!! Told me were all going to die one day so he was just going to eat what he wants... bet I feel the same tomorrow my weeks been drab...
Dont give in my lovely a lot can happen by tuesday. Just keep doing your best and the loss will follow. Look our nanny here.

Congrats nanny 2.5lb is superb! Proud of u.

Choko your penquin outfit was fab well done on being such a good sport. At 2 1/2 - 3 years old our babies were too young for dressing up, but i like the book swap idea... might try that next year.

Have a lovely weekend if i dont 'see you' ladies. X

Thx for that Bubble, I love the support here - ur poor hubby - wonder why that happened to him? I do feel for him. How's he doing now? Has he seen the specialist recently?

I'll go & check how ur WI went now.

I did an extended exercise workout this morning to try to offset last night's excess 9 syns - and will be on plan today - I really am hoping those scales were very wrong.

I have a belt I've had for years which I use to gauge my weight - last week I had it on the second hole and this week it's on the third - not that I'm obsessing or anything hee-hee!xx

Well ur making up for yesterday having drawn the line so well done Doreen!

If u stick to ur plan for today - then if u have 6 syns a day for the rest of the week you'll only have had 73 syns all week - and no-one will know except us and we're not telling ;)

Do u reckon us cd lose on 73 syns in a week? Think I can - I keep meaning to check that out but forget to keep counting my 'treats' on WI day!

I know I'm a number cruncher nerd but hope u don't mind me working ur syns on ur own thread?xx

Will vatch up tomorrow, too tired. Campany going home tomorrow.[/

No wonder ur tired but know u will be having fun and enjoying the children - hope u can have an early night and a good sleep xx

Hope everyone's well? I don't want to become a bore here but I'm still mad about my WI at Boots - will shut up about it now - just wanted to get that off my chest!

Been v careful with my food just in case!

B'fast: berries and half a Mullerlight
lunch: grilled salmon and green salad with quarter tsp of mayo mixed with white vinegar
dinner: hubby had chippy fish & chips - ooh the smell! So I had a Lidl steak - it was lovely with onions, mushrooms and a green salad. Followed by toast - heb, with golden syrup 2 syns

Exercise workout - 35 mins

That's it for today - off to bed soon - feel tired xx

Forgot Cadbury creme egg 9 syns.

Ok, in two days I have had 52 syns. A week total can be 105 leaving 53 for 5 days. leaves 10 per day? I will definitely have less than that.

I must say it was a lovely eating day but won`t do it again in a hurry.

I have in freezer chilli con carni x 3. Made up bolognese sauce. Hopefully using some of it for lasagne. 1 syn burgers & sausages. Lots of speed veg & soup.
You know I still have nearly all of a packet of grated cheese I bought at the beginning of the week. That in itself is a miracle.

I reckon I can keep the syns very low for the rest of the week. Not too much spud, lots of speed veg with my chicken and not too much rice with the chilli.
How much rice does everybody else have as a portion. Do any of you weigh it dry before cooking.??

It is a bit scary but while we were waiting for Faye to come out of dancing class we were in a coffee lounge and resisted ALL the home made cakes and biscuits. :)

That was a nice low day Linda. Did you feel hungry before you went to bed. I am feeling a bit hungry so am going to bed. Flynn and his Mum have gone up and other Nanny. Faye on sleepover.

I don`t feel tired anymore bur don`t doubt I will sleep ok.

Speak tomorrow when family have gone.

I always weigh mine before i cook it x

Morning, ladies.

Hope you and your family are feeling much better now, Blades.

Sorry to hear you're unwell, Linda and also, sorry about your weight gain. So annoying! Let's hope those scales in Boots were faulty and fingers crossed for WI Day. Hate it when that happens! :(

Wow, Doreen! You are so amazing - ignoring those home-made cakes! Well done! That's definitely my down-fall. I'm going out with two other Teaching Assistants, the caretaker and Pete, on Thursday, after work and, I just know, I won't choose sensibly! I will try but it probably won't happen. :S

Anyway, enjoy the rest of the weekend, everyone. :) xx

Yes lovely to eat but as they say - a moment on the lips but a lifetime on the hips!! But we won't let the fat settle for even a week will we!! I'm not a lover of rice - I don't weigh it but don't have much - will try to remember to do that next time I have it - I do compensate for the small portion tho by having lots of curry or whatever

Really well done on cooking/planning your meals ahead - and for resisting those cake goodies and the cheese!!

Hope you slept well - yes I was a bit hungry but the thought of that gain kept me out of the cupboards and I had an early night!

Enjoy your weekend - I'm sure you can work your 105 syns to include a nice meal out Kathy. I'm feeling much better today thank you- luckily it was a very short illness!! xx

I'm posting early as we're off out shortly - hubby's mother was 85 this week and we've planned a small tea party for her at her house - so know there'll be lots of temptation! There may also be an awkward atmosphere - hubby is one of six children - all married - over the years there's been ill feeling between several of them - hubby and I have steered clear of it all but even that has been criticised!

Then after that hubby and I are going to the cinema to see 'The Second Marigold Hotel' we loved the first film so hope this one's good too - problem is that I associate the cinema with choc, ice cream etc!!! So will have to take some fruit I think!

More temptation this morning as hubby made some bread - he doesn't cook often but found some bread mixes in the cupboard that were going out of date! I WILL ONLY have 60g I PROMISE!

Here's my food plan - hoping it won't change too much:

brunch: 2 laughing Cow lights, 60g of hubby's bread - v nice btw! green salad and kiwi fruit, pear and ff yog
tea: not sure what will be on offer - we're all taking something for a b'day buffet - but I will take a chicken salad and fruit salad and ff yog for me just in case!
snacks: fruit salad, some kind of low syn biscuit, 2 alpen lights heb

Drinks: fruit tea, water, maybe a couple of coffees with a dash of ss milk.

30 mins exercise workout

Hi Linda. Enjoy the birthday with Ma-in-law. Hope tension not too bad.
Good on your taking some food for you, sometimes it is the only way. But my goodness home made bread, to die for. My son used to make quite a lot, but not at present.

I haven`t seen the the film you are going to or the first one. Good idea to take some fruit with you, the ice cream and popcorn are so hard to resist.

Hope the day goes ok.

I was going to weigh myself this morning but cooked egg & bacon breakfast for Davina and Flynn had bacon and toast so I had mine too & forgot to weigh. Probably just as well. I don`t have any regrets about the food & drink day I had as I enjoyed it. I do hope I still have no regrets come Friday.

Went to the local zoo with Flynn for 2.1/2 hrs with Flynn this morning before Mum picked up Faye and drove home. My goodness I ache now, lots of walking and standing for that long nearly had me on my knees, Flynn really loved it though so that makes it worthwhile. Just as well we were not up the for the usual 5 hrs.

Decided have a quick catch up before settling down with some home made soup and maybe even a nap

Will try and come back on later.

Hope your aches subside, Doreen. Nothing worse than strolling around slowly and just standing, looking at things, to make you ache like mad. Glad Flynn enjoyed it though. :)

Hope you can enjoy the tea-party, Linda, without any tensions. Family, eh?! xx
