Nearly at start date!

    Well my hall looks like diet chef has exploded all over it, I was too excited to wait until I got in the kitchen to open the box so there is a sea of diet chef food all over the floor!

    I'm starting Monday, so today is my last day of getting rid of naughty foods lurking in the fridge before the big day. I have 140lb to lose so *fingers crossed* this won't be another non-starter!

    PS - If you have iPhones and haven't already discovered it, Striiv is a pretty nifty little pedometer app - it has some great mini-challenges which means that I stomp up and down the hall trying to achieve them! You can link it with MFP as well if you store food/exercise diaries on there

    Good luck with starting :) is it tomorrow? I ve just started and have to say I'm very impressed with the quality and taste of the food and I have alot to lose so have committed to diet chef. Be good to have support x
    I do have another diary as am an old hand at diets but am thinking of starting A new one on here :)

    Hiya, it is indeed my start date tomorrow!! I've hidden all my leftover 'naughty' food under my bed and filled my cupboard with diet chef goodies, actually really excited about starting which is most unlike me for diets!!

    I was a bit confused as some of the lunch salads have dinner written on them, and need cooking which is surprising for a salad!!!

    I have to add in nearly 800 calories though, don't think i'm going to add that many and planning on doing it with things that i'm not that bothered about eating so its easier to drop it when needed.

    Can't wait to see your results!!

    Best of luck for tomorrow x so far I have liked everything I ve tried so am v happy :) I should be doing 1500 cals which I am more or less doing . It's nice to know there are others on this we can support each other I will start my own diary on here too ;-)

    Well, day 1 is nearly over. Started OK but didn't get lunch until 4 as got called away to help run a drop-in session, I can tell you that by 4 I was about ready to eat my own hand!! Feeling very hungry now but trying to stave off the feeling by drinking some green tea (bleurgh) so I can have my dinner a little later. Everything has been jolly nice so far though i'm very impressed!!

    Am glad day 1 has been gd I have liked everything so far there was times today when I did feel hungry but another day is done and here is to another successful day tomorrow x

    Well blip averted earlier!! Had a call with a lady at a job agency who basically told me I had no hope managing a nursery (despite the fact that I currently manage 15 staff across 3 counties and control budgets of 250k) so had a little cry and poured myself a lovely big g&t (slimline tonic of course). I had 2 mouthfuls and thought 'why am I letting that cow jeapordise my weight loss' and poured it away.

    I'm usually a bottle of wine a night girl (I didn't get 10 stone overweight on slimline tonic) so for me, pouring away alcohol was a massive step and once I lose enough weight to become more bendy I shall pat myself on the back!

    I shall pat you on the back too!!! Good on you for not downing the drink, she isn't worth that, and just cos this one isn't right for you, doesn't mean there isn't another better job out there! :)

    Well done from me too x wine was the main reason for me putting on weight and will always be my Achilles heel :-( . So fantastic will power :)

    Well first official weigh in and I've lost (drum roll please) 9.5lb this week! Huzzah!!

    After the first couple of days of adjusting I've actually found it really easy!! Went home to parents last night and tucked into korma and rice trying not to be too jealous of their burger and chips but survived!! This coming Friday might be tricky as I'm meeting one of my staff members for lunch and also going out in the evening but hoping to be as good as poss!! How are you finding it?? Xx

    It seems easier somehow, I've not been as tempted to stray as in other diets which is good! X

    Ace choice, the burger wouldn't have been as nice as the thought, I don't think! I'm sure you'll be ok to make sensible choices when you're out this week too, good on ya!

    I'm not following Dietchef, I was thinking about it, but sticking with calorie counting for now. I was on holiday til 6th Jan, so tomorrow's my first 2013 WI, and I'm really quite looking forward to it, feel I've had a good week!!

    Well, i'm super pleased I didn't have the burger now after this weeks news!!

    I have just had a sneak weigh and in 12 days I have lost a stone....woo me!!!!

    Ok weighed in (this is two weeks as didnt officially last week) and lost 7.2lb, that's now 20.8lb since starting!

    Hi Dare_bee

    are you still on DC? How's it all going? Sounds like you have done fantastically well so far, congrats!! I'm coming to the end of week 3 and things really seem to have slowed down :-( they say 1-2lbs is a heathy weight loss weekly but I must admit I was hoping for more. It's just dawning on me what a long journey I'm in for! Have you been counting calories strictly? How many do you average each day including your extras?

    Hope everything's still going well for you!
