First and foremost, congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!!! you must be so excited!.

Oh dear, doesnt sound like you have a very good leader at all - the site? its absolutely brilliant!!! - I've never been to a meeting and am on ww for a year now - I've lost almost 7 stone and can honestly, honestly say, if not for here there wasnt a hope in hell of me doing it!!!!!.

Have you made many wedding plans yet? go on! fill us in?!! xx
Congrats on the wedding!!! I'm looking for a ring this year myself ;) So, this site is fabulous for the support and honestly weighing in and posting successes or otherwise on this site with these wonderful women really works better than weighing in in a whole room of folk who you don't catch up with every day! Also you can share recipes, ideas and get support, rant, have a chat and we all celebrate together at losses x Welcome!!!
Thank you all

Wow, what a welcome - thank you all xxx
So.... this is where I am at...
I first joined WW back in 2004 and in a year I lost 4 stone and got down to a size 8 - 10 and felt amazing....it must have been the smallest I have been since I can remember! Being only 5 ft 3 and 4 stone overweight really shows!
I think the weight stayed off for around 6 months when I became depressed, hated the sales job I was doing, was going through a bad time as my sister had an eating disorder and my dad had a drinking problem - I became the one who was trying to sort everything out at home but inside couldn't cope - I started to comfort eat..
By 2007 I had put on 3 stone and decided to go back to WW end of Jan 07. In a year and a half I have put on and lost the same stone and have not got anywhere!! I seem to be stuck in a rut and dont know why.... as I said, I dont seem to get any support from my leader..
The good news is, over the past 2 months I have got out of the sales job I hated and things seem to be better with my family - best of all, my boyfriend proposed 4 weeks ago..
We are planning on a summer wedding next year and I know I need to get my act together to get back to where I should be shape wise. We are currently looking for a venue before we set an actual date but will keep you all posted as I am really excited :D
I do hope that I can find the strength I need to really crack it this time - I have done it before so I should be able to do it again!
Would be good to hear more about you all and hear if you had any struggles and what has worked for you...
Big Hugs xx
Congratulations on the wedding and Good Luck on the weight loss.
I am just starting out with WW and loving it - like you I have struggled (on Slimming World) for the last year and not lost a thing.
I am finding that posting my food diary on here keeps me focussed -
I am fortunate in that my leader and class appear to be quite good/motivating so far. Have you thought about trying a different class?
New meeting

Thanks.. I have tried an alternative meeting but Thursdays is the only day when I am free to attend a meeting in the evening, and it is the only time I can make (as the other times I am still trying to travel home from work)
How is your weightloss since you joined WW?

That could be managed very easily, Sophie. I know myself (personally speaking) had been dieting on and off for YEARS and between dropping a few pounds here and there, gaining a few here I actually managed to put ON weight between all that dieting.

I think it happens to alot of us - until we get that certain "click", I know if it was THAT easy many of us wouldnt be here in the first place! :)

Gunna-make-it, how have you been finding things so far? xxxx
Things are better - I lost 3 lbs last night so feeling quite good this morning :) I have just booked a summer holiday so have a short term goal as I will going in 8 weeks time..

I did actually manage to get to a different WW meeting yesterday (had to leave work early) and it was great, I might speak to my manager and see if I can come in early and leave early to make that meeting....fingers crossed:)

Hope you are all well this morning xx

Some people may find it harder then others,we all find it easy when we just start see how you have done years down the line!
I def found it easier the first time around - probably because I had a lot more to lose and I had made all the little changes like cutting out sugar etc that does make the initial change..
I didnt say I havent lost anything in the past year and a half - I said I havent managed to shift a stone yet during that time as I have been putting on and losing the same few lbs... in total I have lost 10.5lbs, I know I could have done better but I have been trying:cry:

Well done on finding a meeting you seem to enjoy, i hope your manager agrees to you changing hours.

Im sure you have done your best, i go through phases of losing and gaining the same few pounds, it can be months and im still about the same so i can totally understand that frame of mind :sigh:

somtimes hun it takes a while for the mind to kick in! .. we may try and lose weight but unless we REALLY want it we rarely stick to it properly I have somone in our class who has been doing it for 15 months and is only just a stone down! ths is because he is mostly doing it to support his partner but still if were not 100% ready then its just no good.
this time round is going to be different :) you sound positive xxx
