new and sf not working!! help!!!

hey ladies
im trying slimfast well the tesco cheap version but same thing really. Im on day 5 and to be honest expected to see a diff on the scales as it is a dramatic change to my usual calorie intake but ive not lost a thing!!!!
I have tried a lot of diets and usually after 2 weeks of being very very good I dont lose anything except heart and give up which leaves me pounds heavier again!!!
But im sticking at this for 2 weeks then poss just have a shake for lunch an eat a norm breakie and dinner as ive heard u should only do sf for 2 weeks at a time is that right?? Cos if not ill stick at it
I have found i have more energy and ive been drinking more water most days except today really.
I amm desperate to get 3 stone off for my wedding next yr and finding it so hard! Help!!!!!!!!xxxxxxxxx

Hi Rae, please don't worry, it's fine to do it for longer than that!! Sorry you haven't seen any results as yet, but I'm sure you will! What other foods are you eating and what is your daily calorie intake?:)

Well Im trying the bar instead of shakes which has same calorie content could that be why? I find the shakes a bit sweet in the morning. But i have a bar or shake for breakfast with a coffee, some water and fruit then a shake for lunch. Then more water. Im usually having a SW style dinner or just some chicken and veg and a little rice.

I feel like im hardly eating anything altho i dont really feel hungry until dinner time and then im starving!
A few people have commented on my weight loss but the scales say im the same! I do exercise as much as poss, but I am already very active with 2 young children and I walk everywhere and do zumba few times a week.

Maybe im not drinking enough water?

i always find that i dont lose as much weight when eating the bars,so before you get disheartened id cut them out and see if you notice a difference.
could it be that your not eating enough?? get yourself on fitness pal and log everything you eat.
i have been using asda's measure up shakes,the ready made ones are lovely but the big tub of cafe latte i bought is disgusting!!! :( so iv been having two of them,fruit,and usually an omelette for dinner with lots of veggies.
im only on my 2nd day and not weighing until friday but when iv done it before iv struggled to lose on the scales too!but i put that down to going to the gym,so this time im not exercising yet,or atleast not hardcore exercise!!
how much do you have to lose???

My mate uses SF, the Tesco shakes and also the Asda ones. She hates the powdered versions in tubs - they make her feel literally sick.

She likes the RTD chocolate. Choc is her major passion in life.

SF shakes taste very nice - I used to do SF - and yet they contain more sugar than a Mars Bar. This might be why you are feeling hungry. The sugar content.

Having bars (I used to love Fruits of the Forest) should not make a difference if the food values and sugar levels are the same as the shakes. Perhaps they're not. Would be wise to check!

I cannot tolerate lots of sugar or carbs so I limit them. I cannot take the hunger and the cravings!

hey all thanks sooo much for replying!
Well Ive just been having the shakes for breakfast and dinner and a low fat dinner. Not sure on exact calorie content of my dinners but as I usually cook slimming world meals I wouldnt imagine they were high in cals. I have been drinking 2 litres water a day somedays more. I was at the doctors the other day with my baby and happened to mention to him and he thinks I may have a hormone imbalance due to the weight gain and numerous other things. I get test results next week
I just know if this was 2 years ago I would have lost lots of weight by now and I cant really cut anything else out of my diet!
This is sooo frustrating I hate it! :(xxxxxxx

How old is your baby?
I know I always find it hard to lose weight in the first year of new baby due to tiredness etc.

I hope your doctor can help and point you in the right direction whatever the results may be xxx
