Hi everyone

Having spent the whole year messing around losing a couple of pounds here and then putting on another few, I have decided its now or never to get my butt in gear and lose weight.
I have decided to give slimming world a go, as having looked at a few slimming websites it seems more vegetarian friendly than the others.
My local class is on thursday so I will be going along to that, and am going to sign up for a course so I am commited to go to class.
I am feeling very positive and hope that this time next year I will be DearSkinny not DearFatty :)

Thanks. I have been reading a lot of info you have on here and it is really helpful. I have proved I cannot slim at home alone so will get to class on Thursday and hopefully that will keep me on track. I am just going to watch what I eat until then and start properly from then.

I had 9 stone to lose when I joined at the end of August and I now have just over 7 stone to go. I am hoping to be at my goal weight this time next yr. My 1st proper goal is to get below 15 stone as I was a size 16 then and I felt slim. However my ultimate goal is 11.5 stone.

Hi Karen - welcome to SW and to minimins.
I too had 6 stone to lose. I started in July and aim to finish in July 09 just in time for my 40th birthday.
Good luck.

Hi there and Welcome to the forum.

Slimming World is the easiest diet in the world IMO, and if you follow the plan, you'll get really good results. I want to lose a minimum of 5 stone to get to a more reasonable weight. I started SW in October and according to the online progress chart, at the rate I'm going, I'm predicted to hit that target in mid-May. That's no time at all. I could be a whole new person by the Spring! Knowing that it's so close makes me feel motivated to stick with it because I SOOOO can't wait to be unburdened of all this extra weight I carry and just go out and enjoy my life (and buy loads of new clothes :D)

Do you get online access if you go to a class ? I like the idea of seeing when I would be predicted to reach goal

How do you find it going alone ? Do you find it easy to keep on track and motivated ?
