NEW STARTER 1:1 diet 19th October 2020!!!

Hello,

I have started the 1:1 Cambridge diet on the 19th October 2020 :)

I've not found any recent threads so if anyone would like to join me to keep each other motivated please feel free. I will keep updating as I go along as I find it keeps me motivated, busy and takes my mind off food!

I have done the diet in the past starting at 18 stone 9 lbs and got down to my lowest weight of 10 stone which took me around 1 year.
Since getting married I have gone up to 13 stone 7lbs, for my height my weight should be anything between 10 stone to 11 stone 7 lbs
Ideally I would like to get back to 10 stone however I would like to start with my first target of getting 2 stone off before my birthday in December so here goes..
I find pictures of peoples befores and afters keep me motivated and seeing peoples trackers of their weight losses by week so ill add some photos of my before and after from when I did the diet previously and will get my tracker on

Monday - I was surprised with myself I didn't feel as hungry as I thought I was going to be, having done it in the past i've always found this day the worst. I started my day off with a ready made latte shake, choc ready made for lunch and spag bol for my dinner...felt fine however struggled with the water which was strange as im quite good with water on a daily basis anyway.

Tuesday - The WORST day, woke up freezing, couldn't get out of bed, felt sick and really badly craving a fizzy drink, I felt like I was hungover! Spoke to my consultant who advised this is normal and to get the water down me, as the day went on I felt better had my 3 products, same as yesterday but tried the pesto pasta which I actually enjoyed. Had an early night

Wednesday - Felt loads better, energy levels were up even done some baking. Had choco shake in the morning, spag bol for lunch however couldnt finish it.. latte shake for evening but the taste in my mouth after was vile..no amount of mouthwash was helping..

Today - again, feeling good!
Bottle of water to start my day
Will have a latte shake this morning now instead after last nights horrible after taste and i'll think ill go for chicken tikka for lunch and finish the day with a choc shake!
I've also got some salted caramel bites which im saving for the weekend!

Hi, lovw your before and after pics...very inspiring!

I am just coming to the end of week 3, so I started on 4th October. I lost 8lb a week in first 2 weeks but will be about 2/3 lb this week I think.

It is my first time doing Cambridge and I am on ss1a. I started at 16st and my target is 9st. My health range is 8-10st so opted for mid point.

I am finding it easier to stick to than other diets as I don't have to think about what I am going to eat, I am even OK cooking for my daughter and husband!

I have felt a bit hungry at times but keep drinking water and herbal tea, mint tea is my new dessert 🍨.

I am hoping to get under 14 1/2 stone in my first month which would mean a small loss again next week.

I have a spa break booked tomorrow though so I will be having a 'normal lunch and dinner....keeping my goals in mind should help with choices 😀😇

Hi Jrum

WOW you've done great so far!!

How are you finding the meals? I had chicken tikka yesterday but wasn't a fan

I have my first weight in monday, just need to get through the weekend, i find its always the hardest! Hope you have a great time at the spa, let me know what you have :)

Hi, I am finding the meals ok, I think I had low expectations 😆.

I dont really like the cottage pie or the pesto pasta as I find they leave me hungry. The spag bol and Thai green curry would be my favourites (as in the have a taste which I find ok).

I am doing shake for breakfast, soup for lunch (I have all the flavours atm but like the oriental chilli) and a 'meal in the evening. I am getting used to he portions size now and not missing snacking so much. I was actually surprised when I realised how much I had been snacking! 😬

Good luck with the Monday weight in.

Hi all! I’ve been looking for a recent thread to join and have finally found this one!

Started the 1:1 diet on Tuesday and weigh in on Monday ! Did find the first 3 days really tough but have stuck to plan.

I’m hoping to lose 5 stone.

How is everyone getting on ?

Thank you @Jrum - how was the spa
My hubbys birthday is coming up and all we can do is go out for a meal, I really want to stay on plan but will have to take one day off for him, he's missing having someone to eat with haha.

Hi MissGee how are you finding it so far and what meals have you had?

I've stuck to plan but really found it hard this weekend, had my shakes and leek and potato soup but I was so hungry mainly cause hubby had a take away and I could smell it! Only thing keeping me going is weigh in on Monday, I always ask for my weigh ins to be on a Monday so I don't cave at a weekend!

Morning

First weigh in done and 11lbs lighter and 3 inches off waist!

Aim for this week is to get 3lbs off so I can make it a stone

Hope your all doing well and good luck for weigh ins

Hi there,

I have done the Cambridge diet in the past but only the SS for a couple of weeks just before a holiday or and event that I wanted to feel slimmer for. I have only had really 1 stone to loose previously!

Fast forward after 3-4 years drinking lots of Prosecco and eating more then I should running around after a 3 year old and 2 teens and working full time (excuses) I think we have all been there, not really looking at myself in the mirror still trying to squeeze into my size 12s lol.

We went camping and when I saw the photos my confidence and self esteem took a downwards turn, I couldn't believe how big I had I got. It was the catalyst for me, crazy cause when I look in the mirror I don't see that person at all!!!

Anyway here I am on day 9 had my weigh in yesterday and I have lost 8 lbs.!!! Whoop, its a start... really struggled over weekend though, hubby had a curry on weekend (mouth was drooling) but I didn't give in... I find drinking sparkling water really helps, fills you up. I haven't really felt hungry tbh, just a few pangs here and there.

I'm determined to loose the weight and go through the steps. Am currently doing SS, thinking I can handle this for a min of 3 weeks so just another 2 to go then step 2..... this is just the beginning girls think yourself slim and you will be.....stay positive and remember the old saying a moment on the lips , a lifetime on the hips!!! Will keep everyone updated every week when weigh in Mondays, Good luck to everyone, this diet is hard, but being overweight is harder. Choose your hard!! xx

Starting weight-Ideal weight 11stone (4 stone to loose)
15 stone, Height 5ft 8
Week 1-8lbs

Well done on the weight loss mammajo!

How are you finding all the meals?
My consultant recommended having the cappuccino shake with hot water, I loved it felt like I was actually having a coffee!

How is everyone feeling this week so far, half way there now til next weigh in!

Hey everyone I started 17th September I’m 5ft6 and I’ve lost 1 stone 7 pounds so far I’m on ss , I’ve also been looking for a recent thread , I started at 12stone 7 , now I’m 11 stone, I still want to lose another stone and a half by my birthday in December , I’m struggling atm , so tempted to snack , i have a 3 year old and one year old and im so used to eating off of their plate , I had a few bites of salmon and feel really bad, I think it’s because I’m back down to my “usual” weight again and my clothes fit me how they did before (size 14) that I’m lacking motivation abit 😔

Hi All, amazing weight loss well done to us all!

I had my week 4 weight in today and lost 2lb. That means I have lost 22lb in 1 month. Definitely keeping me motivated to continue to my 7 st weight loss goal!

Thank you @Jrum - how was the spa

Spa was great, so good to get away and especially now we are back in lockdown. I was surprised how much mu appetite has reduced after just 3 weeks too. I struggles to eat even 1/2 of the meals we had...which boades well for the future and maintaining after reach target 🙂

Hi guys,

Had my 2nd weigh in and lost 3 pounds! so happy I finally reached my first target a stone by November..
Birthday is 1 month today so I want another stone off, guess will be easier to do now were in lockdown

Hope everyones keeping well

@Yiz your doing so well, keep at it will be worth it

How is everyone doing? I lost 6lb last week but only 1lb at this weeks laying. Still lost 29lb overall so feeling good about my progress so far (6weeks in). Found last week really hard and cheated a bit, having to refocus this week and aiming for 1.5 stine by chirstmas (3/4lb a week).

Hi,
Looking for some online support. I’ve been on the 1:1 diet since the end of September. I’ve lost 3 stone and 7lbs. I was 100% on plan pre Christmas. I’m having a week off for Christmas but desperate to get back on it from 2nd January until I’m at target. I’ve approx another 3 stone to go (might tweak the goal weight depending on my size and how I feel).
How’s everyone finding Christmas? I’m trying to be good and minimal portion sizes but not depriving myself of anything I fancy but definitely lost the sweet tooth I used to have.
