Hi All,
My name is Jennie and I'm going to be starting up the CD diet sometime this week (I hope, just waiting on the products to arrive). I hail from the US and I know the rules are a bit different and I actually have the blessing from my GP to proceed with sole source and I'm hoping to consume around 400 kcal with a whole ton of water!
A little bit about me, two years ago I weighed 220 lbs and decided that I needed to lose some weight to catch me a man! I really busted my buns and at this time last year I weighed 165 lbs and really started to love the new me! I did find myself a man, someone who loves me no matter what size I am, so I'm a winner in that respect! However shortly after I hit 165 I realized that I was no longer losing weight and in fact was gaining. I went to the doctor to figure out what was up and got diagnosed with advanced Graves Disease and had my thyroid ablated within a week. Between the unbelievable increase in appetite and dropping to extremely hypothyroid before starting my hormone replacement - I'm almost back to my original weight. But for the first time in my life I can honestly say I'm ready to change my weight for me, not someone else.
I'm going to give it my all right away and I'm confident I can succeed! If I can quit smoking cold turkey after 8 years, I can handle this (I hope! ).
I've found so many of these posts to be amazingly inspirational and I'm sure I'll have loads of questions so I sure hope you can all put up with me! Thanks in advance and I'll see you on the slim side!
