New to CS - Can I join?

Hi,
I'm new to CS just been reading on the internet about it all and come on here. I joined here over a year ago but did nothing about it!

I'm going into town on Tue and will buy what I need to get started next Monday.

Me and my husband have never had a holiday abroad just on our own and I have booked for us to go to Egypt in May just for the week, we will be leaving our 4 children at home with Grandma. I'm not really looking forward to it if I'm honest as I'm so overweight I just wont want to sit round the pool or on the beach IYKWIM!
