new to slim fast want to know.............

    hi is it ok to just have a shake for breakfast, bar for lunch and a sensible dinner worth 600cals?

    will i still lose 1-2lbs per week like this?

    i'm also trying to exercise for 20 minutes per day.

    typical day:

    B-slimfast shake
    L-slimfast bar+black coffee
    20mins aerobics (DVD)
    D-chicken kiev,2*portions of ww mash,veg+gravy(dinner changes daily)
    Evening(9pm)-cup of 10cal cuppa soup

    2.5litres of water throughout the day.

    I have tried almost every diet on this forum, and i'm finally at my witts end. i've booked a holiday for next year August so do not mind loosing weight slowly. could you tell me if what i am doing is ok? i haven't really felt the need to snack in between meals as yet, but it's good to know the option is there if needed. i'm getting desperate and need to lose about 40-50lbs. started on sunday (5/10/08), will weigh in every sunday.

    slimfast seems ok as you get to eat a nice meal in the evening. i'm ok during the day, the evening is when i tend to pig out!! but so far i'm ok eating this way. i may get some little boxes of raisins to eat late with my cuppa soup.

    any feed back greatly appreciated.

    It is fine to do it that way. You don't have to have the snacks but they are there if you need them. I tend to lose 1lb a week now (when I have been good) but there was occassions when I could lost 3-4lbs a week when I first started - we are all different.

    Feelingfat thanks for your reply, i hope i can lose 1lb per week too!! all i can do is try. motivation for the diet is great right now, but really have to push myself to do the 20mins of exercise per day. hopefully as i loose more weight i will increase my exercise!

    I have a bar for breakfast, shake for lunch and under 600kcals for dinner, and have snacks if Im starving, plus tea and coffee... its gradually coming off 4 me...
