Hello all, I am new to this!
started on the 5:2 diet last week and lost 5lbs, I couldn't believe it. At the weekend I had a summer party to go to so needless to say I had a little to much to drink and ate alot this week ive gained 2lbs absolutely kicking myself so its back to square 1. Im going to do 4:3 this week and see if that will shift those 2lbs I put back on. Has anyone else fallen prey to this?? Just need to stay motivated to carry on!
 
I can vary by 2Kg or more in a week. I do seem to weigh less the morning after the morning after a fast day.

I also find M-W-F fasts a good kick start.

My lowest weight is always my official weight, even it it rises after eating days. This week I fasted M-W-F and weighed 135.6 on Saturday AM, 135.7 This morning. I've been having a good old scoff and drink today and no doubt I'll be around 136.5 tomorrow AM. However, I do know if I stick to my fasts and eat sensibly on Tue and Thur I <should> be in the 134Kg zone next weekend.
