newbi - just starting today

Hi, I've lost almost 2 Stone since Xmas but hit a wall and old habits are returning (snacking all day). Decided to give this a try so day 1 down.
I've had 2 shakes and chicken curry with rice for dinner. No snacking as I think the dinner was more than 600 cals.
Is this allowed?
Am going away for a few days next Monday but want to get a week in first.
