Hello all!
Iv been reading this forum for a few days before deciding to take the plunge and start the programme on friday. I had my frist day on the diet today and I can't say it hasn't been tough. My life revolves around food in everyway...if im bored i eat, if i socialise i eat, if i do an activity ie watch a film, play a game i need nibbles to go with it!
Everything today has been about food so I have found it very hard to take my mind off it and tonight I have just wanted to give in and order a chinese!BUT instead of doing that I thought I would post a message on here to just have reassurance Im not the only one struggling and then I'll probably take myself off to bed withj a peppermint tea and try to sleep and forget about the hunger!
I got up very early this mroning for a bootsale and didnt want a shake that early as I was worried I wouldnt last the day, so I had a pint of water to take with me and came back at 11am to a strawberry shake. I have to say it was one of the most revolting things I have ever tasted - it was like drinking puree'd cardboard mixed with oats! However I had my chocolate one at lunctime mixed with a shot of expresso and I have to say that wasnt so bad .. does anyone else find they can't always manage the whole shake because it's quite sickly? Thats what I found at lunchtime.
I braved it out until 5.30pm to have my soup ... not that impressed but I think it could have been worse...although the more I thought about the fact that would be my dinner for the next 2 months every single night...the worse it made me feel!
Im doing a 10 mile hike tomorrow as training for a charity 82 mile walk Im doing in September and as it will only be my 2nd day on LT does anyone have any advice or tips on things I can do to keep healthy and not collapse from exhaustion considering I wont be having carbs to give me the energy I might need. Walking 10 miles I normally burn well over 1500 calories.
IM excited about the end result of this diet and am inspired by other peoples story's on this forum .. and I just know thats going to be the only thing thats going to keep me going!!
Im sure I'll be posting a lot more in the next couple of weeks!
Thanks to everyone already for being so inspiring...14stone weigh in yesdterday....10 stone here I come!
