hi all,

I'm on day1 SS+ and have a couple of questions.
1. when weighing chicken/turkey do you use raw weight or cooked weight?

2. is tuna in brine ok? cant find tuna in water

Thanks :)

Welcome to minimins and the CD anya!
Go by the raw weight on your chicken or turkey and sorry but no brine I'm afraid as it's salt water which makes you retain water.

How has it been going Anya? I am on day1, but am doing SS (4 sachets a day)
I have found it ok, felt a little bit hungry, but I am expecting that for the first 4 days.
I have had about 4 litres of water to drink too, and I went and had a bath whilst everyone else ate their dinner! It was nice to have the bathroom to myself.

which weighs heavier the same piece of chicken raw or cooked. Initially I was thinking the cooked would weigh more, but then I was thinking sure wouldnt it lose water in cooking and maybe the cooked is lighter?

Does it really make that much difference to the weight?

thanks

Thanks for the replies, i used the raw weight for my chicken so thats ok and I kinda guessed the brine wouldnt be allowed but hoped I was wrong!!
Glad to hear you're doing ok fatbird (feels weird calling you that !!) I wouldnt be able to do SS as I need something to eat so fair play to you.
Hedgehog, yeah the raw chicken is heavier than the cooked so thats the way to go.
