Newbie to site but been doing SW since Jan...Help needed x

Hi,

I've been doing slimming world since Jan and I've lost 2st 2lb.

I've recently started doing zumba 3 times a week and my weight loss seems to have come to a standstill! Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have any ideas of why this has happened?

All help very much appreciated!

Hi Tillymint, congrats on your loss, which is brilliant.
I hope you are enjoying Zumba, apart from being great for you, it lifts your mood too! You are probably building muscle, which is fantastic news in the long term. Although it may be affecting your current losses, muscle requires calories in order to work, so it is like a snowball effect. You use calories to build it and use calories to keep it working, so maintenance becomes easier if you continue using the muscles. If you enjoy the exercise it is even easier. Keep up the classes and in the long term your will really reap the rewards.
 
Helloooooooo, I started CD last Wednesday so I'm on day 5 today.
struggled with SW although I have been going to the gym 3-4 times per week :-( Hoping to see a drop in my weight this week :) Good Luck everyone xx
