Losing the baby weight!!

Hiya!

Have been lurking on here for the plast couple of days, but have now decided to post as I am starting CD tomorrow (Wednesday). My husband is also doing it with me, so I'm hoping that it will help me stay on track!

Met with my CD counsellor today and picked up all of my packs. I did try the diet just over 2 yrs ago, but I only stuck to it for a week because I felt really sick. But I'm gonna try again, with the new motto of 'mind over matter'!! If I feel sick, I'll go to sleep or something. I need to battle through, because my weight is getting ridiculous now.

My lowest weight in the past few years was 12st 7lbs (July'06), in November '07, I'd gone up to 14st 3lbs, and today I was 16st 10lbs :cry: I've put on over 4 stone in less that 2 yrs, and over 2st in less than 5 months!! How the f*ck is that possible, lol??!!

Anyway, I'm determined to make this work. My target weight (ideally), is about 9st 7lbs, but, realistically, I'm aiming for 10st 9lbs.

So I want to lose 6 stone. Bloody hell that sounds loads!! But I know I can do it. Especially since my husband is doing the diet too.

Bring on tomorrow morning!!!

Welcome and good luck to you and your husband with starting tomorrow on your CD journey.

Good to have the company and support for each other.

Be sure to do your body measurements and take some before photos as they really do help along the way!!!

Drink a glass of water before you take your milkshake and it will help dilute the taste. The first weeks is the toughest and it does get easier after that.

good luck you are exactly the same weight as me when i started on cd, i have never been able to stick with diets before but apart from a couple of bad days i have stuck with it and have lost 2 stone, the first 2 weeks are the worst but it does get easier,

Thank you to everyone for your support! I've had my first shake of the day - chocolate mint. It was really nice actually. It definitely helps if you blend it!! I don't think I did that last time. Going to have the chocolate tetra for lunch a bit later :D

I couldn't agree with you more. I think the packs taste awful if you don't mix them throughly using a blender, smoothie maker or electric whisk.

Powdery or lumpy shakes/soups? Bleurgh!!!! :sign0137:

Good luck to you Summersky! You and me both - I started back on the diet on Monday of this week. The hunger pangs really kick in about 5pm for me when I am feeding the baby. Looking forward to getting this week out of the way and feeling less hungry next week...

lol ive learnt my lesson... first day i just used a fork to mix the shakes up n god was it bad lol
i had big lumps of powder coming up through my straw!! :rotflmao:
