Not Lost Much

I started calorie counting last Wednesday. 2 days I have gone over my daily allowance of 1145 by 100 cals. (I have joined weightloss resources and am aiming to lose 2 lb a week) I weighed myslef Saturday morning, I weant up from 11 and a half stone to 12, then I weighed myself this morning and have lost 4 lb, but am still heavier than when I started WLR.
I do have an under active thyroid, is it true that if you eat too few calories with an under active thyroid your body will store food as fat?

I have an underactive thyroid too, and have not yet found it's got in the way of my diet? Going by a nutritionists advice, I've taken the target calories that online calculators have given me to lose 2lbs a week and dropped it by 200cals. She said that would 'make up' for my thyroid being slow. I'm averaging 1-2lbs every week by eating this target (I eat around 1060 a day). I sometimes eat more. sometimes less, but this too is good for the body as it keeps the metabolism on its toes, therefore working better. It sounds like you're taking the scales too seriously. If you're going to weigh each day (or every 2-3 days) be prepared for fluctuations- it could be fluid, a heavy meal you had the night before, a few beers, period weight etc. If these fluctuations are going to upset you and de-motivate you, only weigh once a week at the same time on the same scales. Then you'll get a better idea of any gains/losses? HTH?

Thanks:) I am terrible on the scales, I would be on them every hour if I could. I must choose a day and have that as my weigh in day.
Strange thing is though, my trousers are really loose, I have to keep pulling them up or half of my bum would be on show,:D

I know what you mean! I sometimes think I don't look as though I've lost anything, then catch myself yanking up my trousers! LOL! I do weigh every day (and night too! :$ I ALWAYS weigh 4lbs heavier last thing at night! LOL!) and log it on a chart on another website. But if I gain a lb one day I don't mind because I know it can be anything, and that I didn't overeat by 3500cals! The site I use shows two lines- one using the weight I enter, the other is a 'trend' line that shows the 'averages' of the weights I enter- so as long as the 'trend' line is going down- I don't mind the spikes from my daily weigh-ins? I only take note of my Monday morning weigh-in weight as guide as to whether I've actually lost that week?
