Nutriton seminar

Work paid to bring in a bloke today (Dr John Briffa to be exact) to do a seminar on nutrition & it all made a lot of sense. Now MB already follows this to some extent, it's like a caveman approach to food, good fats & low carb which I know on xen isn't going to work but seeing as I don't take now (I just hang around to bug you all) I'm gonna give it a go from tomorrow. It's gonna be a bit scary cos for a year I've done low fat but although I've lost weight it's not fat I've lost it's muscle! It was an amazing hour though, I'll see how it goes!
 
I'm on the Z Tango train... and I risk the possibility of Tango by snacking on almonds and cashew nuts, plus nakd bars - BUT I do it between tablets - at least 1-2 hours after/ before a tablet.. Plus I only have 5-10 almonds at a time, or 25g/50g cashew nuts. 1 nakd coca loco bar and normally not all 3 in a day lol

I also take a fish oil tablet before bed at least 3-4 hours after dinner tablet which is at about 6pm

I cook my main meals with fry light and use lean cuts of meat.. When I take my tablets ;). Or I would be in deep Tango trouble ;)

I have been lucky lol and I hope it continues as I prefer these snacks as they are satisfying and low GI and not full of sugary stuff and chemicals.

I'm finding it so hard, although I can cut down carb I don't think I can cope with the high fat, I'm way above what mfp recommends & it's making me twitch, for a year I've eaten the mfp low fat way & changing is hard.....
 
Your foods looking good today, your doing well with the snacks too, just remember berries with plain yogurt (low fat if u want) and a few flaked almonds / chopped hazelnuts is nice :)

I try to eat low not so good fats as poss, low fat yogurt, fry light in cooking, low fat feta, lean meats.. Then I feel bit better about it as I'm reducing the omega 6 fats which our diets are normally high in.

Good fats in nuts, avocados etc I'm ok with but eat small portions
 
Well tomorrow is my first official weigh in since starting, this morning looked like it could be a great loss hope I've kept it for morning!!! I've found eating higher fat hard & scary & although my carb isn't anywhere near as low as Dr Briffa suggested its half what it was..... Hmmm wonder what they'll say in the morning
