Hey Huni...Im sorry to read about the hassle you have at work..there is nothing worse! Dont feel that you are moaning, you need to get these things off your chest.
I would still apply for that other position Hun if you can, you shouldnt let this deter you...on another note though, you could be promoted to X's current position if he does re-locate.
