O/T Packing food in holiday cases

BaysideJ

Starting over
Am flying to Spain tomorrow and planned to pack some cereal, alpen lights, mugshots, couscous packs etc in suitcase. I've not taken food away with me before but presume this is ok?

Yeah should be. I took packets of Paste n Sauce to Tenerife and wasn't stopped!

My friends laughed at us, but it was handy to have something back at base and I managed a loss the WI after - so go for it lady!

Have fun too! xoxox

Yep, tinned and dry stuff is fine, it's just fresh fruit/veg/meat and dairy they get funny with - but you wouldn't pack that anyway!
Have a lovely time hun. xxx

This website has useful information:
www.spain.info

basically, you can't take animal or dairy products into Spain.

Also, check that you aren't going to make your suitcase too heavy - charges for excess baggage are horrific these days!.

Have a lovely holiday!

Make sure tinnned goods and liquids are in your checked in luggage, as I've had tins confiscated from my hand luggage before.

I take dairy and meat products to Spain a couple of times a year, put it in insulated bag and put into case, never been stopped, . Quorn is so expensive is Spain so i take it and OH cant live without real Bacon.
