Slow but sure....
I was sitting reading my library book which is very good - and I thought :thinking2: why don't we have a weekly book thread, so that we can share our books that we are reading at the moment.
What do you think? Let me know?
Here is my book that I am reading at the moment, I love all Historical fiction - anything up to and including WW2....
THE BLACKSTONE KEY by Rose Melikan.
It is 1795, and young Mary Finch travels to the Suffolk coast to meet her wealthy uncle and so end a 20-year estrangement. On her way, Mary discovers a dying man on the road. The stranger is carrying an oddly familiar watch bearing her uncle’s initials. He also seems to know who Mary is, and hints that she is in terrible danger.
With England embroiled in a bloody war with Republican France, and spies and smugglers active all along the coast, Mary must learn how to distinguish friend from foe. Can she trust the two men who want to help her? What is their interest in the mysterious Blackstone Key? Does it guard a secret treasure, or might it have a more sinister purpose . . ?
It's really good....
