oatmeal texture

Hi i had oatmeal for the first time today and its texture was like scrambled egg! is it meant to be like that or had i done something wrong? it was nice just a strange texture x

Mine always turned out like that. Foamy and horrible. I swapped to The porridge....mmmmuch more palatable.

I tried the oatmeal and thought it was like Ready Brek - I did it on the hob with water.

I liked the oatmeal better than the porridge, the porridge was very similar to baby porridge and I thought the oatmeal was sweeter. My oatmeal turned out really nice but to be fair I'm a bit of a porridge fiend in real life, I kept nuking it, bringing it out stir, nuke again etc. the trick is to really let it boil up nice and big (n.b. put in a tall bowl) and then stir and let it settle and it should come out smooth and yummy

I wonder whether e oatmeal is affected by whether your water is hard or soft. My water is soft and it comes out really nice - but when I tried to make it at my sister's (hard water) it was horrible and lumpy and I couldn't make it.
