My recipe book had the last copywright in 1982 and it's called The New Food Plan.
Just a short resume - The allowances for women is 2 portions (1/2pts) Milk or yogurt. 3 Veg (each 3ozs) 3 Fruit 3 Grains (bread/cereal/rice 1oz or potato 3oz) 3 Fats (each 1 teaspnful) Per day and weekly 4 eggs, 4 - 1ozs cheese, 4 meat meals and 1 liver meal and an unspecified amount of fish meals can be taken.Also includes other small items classed as Extras but only 4 times a week. One important factor that the daily/weekly allowances MUST be eaten otherwise weight loss is very much impaired. This was proved true at the time my sister and I attended the WW meetings and she was so sure that it would make her put ON weight so she refused to eat everything. However, the second week she abided by the regime and found she lost about 4pounds!
As with all these eating progs it really the incentive to stick to it that helps to keep on the right track. At the moment that is not really happening for me as I am having trouble setting up my profile data and ticker. Hopefully Pierce is trying to do it for me but being such a newbie to comps I don't always know the terms that are used. But seems very promising.
wow that is a seriously old program.. cant say i know anyone who is following a WW program as old as that, though i know some people like myself do follow Core at times, but that is still 21st century WW stuff ;)
