On a right old downer!

    Week 3. 3rd weigh in. 2 lbs........... 2lbs?!

    Ok I know based on my huge weight loss so far in such a short space of time, and the fact your can loose 1st a month it would put me best part of 2 1/2 months ahead of myself... but tell my head that.

    SOoooo gutted. My knee jerk reaction being to skip a shake now -- DONT WORRY AM NOT THAT STUPID, given it's a 1/3 of what I need, but so cross thats my first reaction, cross for feeling gutted given I have lost 2st in 2 weeks, and just pissed off in general I think!

    I am so tired today. Really struggling with zero energy. had to cut down on my gym programme as I couldnt physically manage it. To be perfectly honest - I have not experienced the 'Ketosis High' I read about, the energy.

    I know the weight loss has to slow down and stabilise -- maybe I was just spoilt with 2 huge losses. Was desperate to get out the 19's too (in there by 1lb only)

    Feels so much better to have written that, now hopefully my head will follow suit as we head into week 4 of SS.

    Off to get my lunch shake now :0)

    Please don't feel too disheartened. You have had a fantastic loss over the last 2 weeks and it sounds like your bodies just settling down a bit. You'll probably find your loss rises again next week. remember on WW you'd be pleased with 1/2lb loss.

    You are doing soooo well!! And remember next time you will be in the 19's (I love going down a stone!)

    first of all well done on ur fab losses so far...:D :D :D

    secondly... i understand being pissed off at 2lb... but it is 2lb OFF so that is great... but its ok to be pissed off... but just just pick up that shake and keep on glugging and you will be well into the 18's in no time at all... and defo by next week :D :D :D

    I note from your post that you mentioned the gym. Some peeps find that they don't lose so much weight whilst they are doing this, as they are building muscle, but they are losing inches. Also, your body might be retaining fluid because of your gym activites. I am no expert, having only been inside a gym once in my life, and only then because I had lost my way lol, but I hope this helps.

    TT, congrat's on the weight loss to date, I bet you look wonderful.
    I had no weight loss this week at all, so try to be happy that you have lost.

    i have to admit i do dread the day i get weighed and it`s onlya small amount
    i bet next week you have a 6lb or so loss
    you could have been holding fluid or is it your auntie flow week

    just remember you have done fab and you also done the right thing coming on here to let it out and not nibbling

    Tell you something else, I found that when I got weighed and I had been drinking water in the 1.5 hours previous to getting weighed I lost a bit more than if I stopped drinking 1.5 hours before being weighed.

    I remember once not losing ANYTHING before going on a weeks holiday, and was SO disheartened, but a miracle happened and despite the lack of weight loss I still stuck to the diet.

    I was rewarded with a 6lb loss the next weigh in. So keep your chin up.

    Please don't get disheartened. Last year I did LL 100% and never cheated once. Every 4 weeks I would only lose a small amount. By a small amount I mean 0.4 and 0.2lbs. The first time I was gutted but then I learnt that it was just a pattern that my body followed. As you get into SSing you'll discover your own patterns.

    Hey TT try weighing out 2lbs of rice ( or similar) put it in a bag and carry it around for a while.....you will be surprised by how much it weighs....I have one for 1lb in weight and that is quite surprising by how heavy and bulky it actually is.

    Week 3 is notorious for bad losses, many people on a VLCD stick or lose little in week 3, then they get upset and often it stops them carrying on, the tip here is to carry on, as week 4 will be brilliant.

    The gym is too much for you at the moment, dont forget you are only eating 500 cals max per day, if you try burn off extra then you need light exercise, if not then your body will hang on to water to keep it going through the day.

    Stick with the water, a little less exercise, some walking or a little swim will do and rest your body, the ketosis high will come but only if you arent exhausted in the first place.

    Keep at it, youve had a massive loss, and you need to be so proud of yourself.

    Hi Tracey,

    Hopefully you are feeling a bit happier today. A 30lb weight loss is fantastic in 3 weeks, please don't be disheartened, stick with it.
    I started just before you, now on my fourth re-start and 21lb behind you, I wish I was in your shoes.:sigh:

    I know your dissapointed with your 2lb loss, but your total loss is unreal. Keep up the good work! :D

    Please dont feel down, You have lost so much in 2 weeks i am stunned:eek: you must feel fantastic and proud of yourself and only a pound away from the 19's next week will be better, stay strong and look forward to reading your update soon
