On Managment and been away !!!!!!

Hi all

I am on mgmt week 2-3 and have just been away for the weekend with my bestest girlfriends. Have tried to be careful although I have eaten food that do not appear in my list !!! I have eaten little bits of cheese / chocolate / bread and wine however if that had been the old me I would have drunk the bottle of wine / eaten the bar of chocolate and eaten the loaf of bread. I have come back today and had a pack for my tea.

On the good side - walked around in a swimming costume not caring who lookeda tme knowing that I looked ok !!

I am planning on getting back to it ie packs and only listed food but am very worried about not letting my rebellious child say "sod it" eat and tomorrow is another day ! I have a very testing day tomorrow in terms of at a course all day at a nice venue and then I am away again next weekend for a wedding !

Anyone got any words of wisdom.

No words of wisdom but well done for getting back home & on track. I am so scared of going into management so I do admire you, it must be the hardest part of the journey.

The fact that you are concerned about how you will deal with it means you are making progress so try & focus in on that and beleive you will overcome the temptations & you will.

Not sure about words of wisdom, but i'd say don't beat yourself up. I am on Week 6 of management. At the end of week 3 I went away for the weekend and ate things that weren't on the list, and drank alchol, but made fairly good choices in the main. As a result put on 2lb which I was cool with as the weekend was worth it and it was important to me to be "real" and the scales had to go up at some point!!! The difference this time though was I got straight back into maintenance - with my LLC advice I did week 3 again (so in effect I am a week behind where I could have been in management but who cares) and that extra week of week 3 meant I lost 2.5lb so back to where I was and some.

so my advice is - don't let the chatterbox tell you to sod it - you are a new person now - get back into maintenace where you left off and contiue to make healthy choices. Real life happens, its getting back onto the healthy regime now that will make you feel great.

And remember that feeling as you wore your swimsuit - that feeling is worth stying on the plan for!!

Had a sneaky peak at the scales and it looked like I had put on three pounds - aghhhhhhhhh. However got back on track had a working lunch in my meeting and just ate the frut and veggie kebabs and a salad for my tea and jumped on this morning and I look like I have lost two of them so hopefully I have proved that by being vigilant I can have the food I want when away !
