Back here again! Must have been nearly a year since I last posted...

Well I'm still nowhere near my starting weight of over 15 stone. I hovered around the 12st mark for what felt like a lifetime occasionally dropping to 11 and a half then back up again. I decided I just couldn't do s&s anymore so gave up. I did however start the gym. I've been going now for 6 months and I've toned up quite a lot, I have a pretty hardcore gym routine in place going at least 5 times a week. Now I know I've gained muscle but I just can't get my diet right! I've felt like I'm gaining weight like crazy and just feel like crap.

So I weighed myself for the first time since stopping s&s... 12st7!! I'm back in the overweight category and feel like my hard work in the gym has done me no favours because I can't keep crap out of my gob!

I feel like I've got to give s&s one final go. It worked for me getting me to a healthy BMI the first time, it can work for me again. I'm not setting myself a long term goal because I don't seem to achieve them when I do. Instead as the title says, just one day at a time. If I can complete one day, that's one step closer. I'm not looking at how far away I am because that messed me up last time.

So it starts again tomorrow, I'm weirdly looking forward to it xx

    Hi and welcome back :)

Sounds like you're in the right place to start. And well done for maintaining to the degree you have done for the past year.

I think you're right to take one day at a time. Best of luck with day one

Thanks ladies! Had so much support the first time round I think that's what helped. I don't mind anyone taking tips at all, if I can help someone along its even more motivation to carry on.

Starting off day 1 with a shake and a trip to the gym before work. I've turned into a right gym freak but I was in a spin class last night right next to a mirror and all I could see was my belly bulging everywhere! I felt like bursting into tears, this has all started since going on the depo injection btw. Everyone told me I would gain weight so I think I used it as an excuse to gorge. It is my motivation now! That image of the saggy, flabby belly is burned onto my retinas so if I ever feel like cheating I just need to remember that!

How is everyone finding s&s at the moment? xx

I like your motivation, mine was seeing a photo of myself, with muffin top spilling over my trousers, stood next to my very slim friend!! We both had babies at the same time she bounced back, I stuck at fat-mum-tum!

I'm really enjoying the new flavour, some are really yummy, sure you'll find some new favourites in no time.

Enjoy the gym, and have a good day 1 :)

Had 3 shakes already today, been soooo hungry! I know it's just the first couple of days then hopefully all hunger pangs will be gone. Think the gym makes me hungrier anyway. Might have to have an extra shake today if Im struggling. Going watching Bad Neighbours tonight, need to stay well away from that pick n mix section. Be easier if I could go straight home and go to bed ha xx

I was good and just had a coke zero! So easy to over indulge at the cinema though! The film was alright, not as good as I expected! I'd watch it again if it was on tv but wouldn't buy the DVD put it that way ha.

Day one complete, only had 4 shakes in the end, must remember to put some more in my bag for work tomorrow. Completely forgot that I've arranged to meet a friend for tea tomorrow though and now I'm worrying! I think we're going to la salsa so suppose I could just have veggie and chicken dishes?!! I don't want to break so early in though. Any suggestions that would keep me on plan? xx

Good on you for sticking with the coke zero!

Is it a friend that will understand about the diet? If so be honest, then be fussy and ask for some chicken plain and green leafy veg. If not, you could always say you've a dicky tum and not really have anything ;) Then have a pack either side!

As for extra packs while exercising, I'm sure I've seen something somewhere about having extras if you're doing high level exercise. I think it was on the s&s website, might be worth a search out if you're such a gym bunny!

    have a good day

Yea think i remember that about exercise actually. Last time i didn't do any, I was just on the shakes, barely even walked anywhere. My friend knows all about the diet, he's dieting himself so won't be having anything majorly calorific!

I can't believe how motivated I was when I first started, it's definitely what got me through! I do look completely different know, my body is more hour glass and toned and my face is a tonne more defined. It's when I start feeling bloated around my face and getting the signs of a double chin that I realised I was gaining again. My jelly belly is my worst nightmare, it's what I focus on whenever I see myself and can't bare to look at myself without clothes because of it. Im hoping doing this along with the gym I should see some major differences xx

Currently sitting in the kitchen at work whilst everyone is eating the most amazing smelling food. Curry, fried chicken, bbq stuff! I feel like I'm torturing myself ha xx

    work is the worst
is there an outside area to sit or local park etc
take a book and if anyone asks you just need a time out - a couple of days like that and the ketosis would have set in and you will be fine
just think of the amount of spoons of fat in their food and think of that swimming on a plate - that should be enough to put you off

one breast of chicken fried has about 16 grams of fat YUCK

five days worth 80g now when you get home measure that in butter to see what it looks like - I am sure you really dont want that :)

Ended up going to pizza express tonight gahh! Had a thin based pizza with some salad. Other than that I've just had 3 shakes today so not gone overboard at all just gutted that on day 2 I've had carbs! No more date nights planned for a little while anyway. Me and my friend who I went out with tonight have aimed to lose half a stone by the next time we see each other in 2 weeks starting from tomorrow's weigh in. It'll be easy enough for me to crack back on with the shakes again tomorrow, I think because it was planned and that's all I've had I don't feel like I've "fallen off the wagon" xx

Currently sat having a coke zero for my lunch as I had my shake way early. Got a PT session later so gonna havea shake straight after, apparently tthat's the best time to have them. Can't wait to have a few days off work just to chill out, I'm turning down nights out so I can save a bit of money and stay clear of alcohol! Might have to move into the gym to keep myself occupied and away from food ha xx

PT session tonight nearly killed me off! Think I've burned about 600 calories. Gonna have a brew and see if I can dig out a bar. Need to make a new order for some extra shakes and bars I think. Which flavours would you recommend? Bare in mind I've mainly stuck to strawberry in the past xx
