Out of date terta's ? ?

    Hello all I have 6 out of date tetra's they are only 5 days old can I still have them do you think? I so don't want to waste them as they were £2.10 each.!

    I would still have them.
    Dates are there because companies are legally obliged to do so but as a nation we waste so much food because of them. Just think if we buy tomatoes in the supermarket but throw them out after the best before/use by date but if you have a greenhouse you keep eating them as long as they are ripe.

    Use your judgement - open them and give them a sniff before you drink them. Off milk stinks - we all know that. Plus the carton will probably swell if there is any significant bacterial multiplication going on.

    I would have them all in fairly short order, though. The nutritional content may well decline with time, tho a week is unlikely to make any huge difference.

    i had 12 out of date ones!!! they will be done today thank god....but they taste fine to me an have been losing weight fine and dnt feel ill....opposite actually...mine are dated 07/10 and today is 13/10..judge for urself hun...dnt wana make u ill....xx

    I had one in the freezer and i ate it then i looked at the date,it was bb end dec 2010!!!! i survived..........but i wouldnt have had it if id seen that first lol!!I would have them though but up to you xx

    If they smell and taste okay then sure you'll be fine as others said.

    I had a tetra, all sealed and well in date, that I took a big suck of, and it was rancid. It terrified me for weeks every time I went to drink one!! LOL!!

    I used to hate the strawberry Tetras. To me they had a nasty chemical back-taste that made them seem out of date, when they weren't! Ewwww lol.

    i think the same!! they leave an awful after taste.
