Philadelphia as HexA

I'm not a huge fan of the healthy A choices in the SW books i have. I like cream cheese though. :) Do you think I could use Philadelphia Light as a healthy A? It's 3 syns for 28 g.

as slickers has posted, you can only have philadelphia as a HEb on the Green plan, you can't use it as a healthy extra on Red (Original) or extra easy.

Thanks!

Just to help me understand, I can understand difference between Original and Green, but not sure how it can be a HEXB on Green but not Extra Easy.

Can anyone explain the reason(s)?

It is a HEB on green for its protein content. On red and EE it is assumed that you wil get your protein from lean meat and fish. So to avoid the chance that someone could use their HEB for even more protein they make you use it instead for high fibre foods. Makes for a more balanced diet.

I use it as a sauce for my pasta (tagliateli) on a green day and use king prawns as an HEB so I get the best of both worlds! Add some mushrooms and it's soooo tasty!

It has become one of my fav meals!
