Points for anything? Anything at all?

Hi everyone,

Forgive my non-WW knowledge (I have moved over from the dark side today - Slimming world as wasn't doing a damn thing for me)!

Ok, I have worked out how many points I can have and I heard thr' ladies at work you can use your points on WHATEVER you want? Is this true?

I was under the impression this was a super strict diet (if honest the reason I haven't even thought about WW before now) and that all points were to be used on things like fruit, lean meats etc. Choc, crisps are forbidden? I am very confused right now!!!

So I am out on Friday night for a chinese and was going to decline due to being on a diet - can I still go then? PLEASE SAY YES!! If the answer is yes - does anyone have any ideas on what I could eat and points value for this?

Thanks so much everyone for your help with this.

hi inkin29

im happy to tell you, that you can use your dailey points allowance on absolutley anything. As long as you what you want, lets you be within your points for the day, go ahead and have it!

Thats the beauty with WW nothing is forbidden at all. Fruits, lean meats etc have lower points (so basically you'll get more food for your points), but thats the only thing..

As for the chiense, you can get some really good chinese dishes for low points, so don't decline, go ahead, enjoy yourself!! :)

Yes ...Anything! At first you will prob be including all your favourite treats and thats quite normal to start with but soon you will changes to get the best out of points like swopping from butter to flora light, from white thick bread to half point brown and so on but its worth doing and you will the advice and support so helpful. Plan as much in advance so you wont go off track and dont mentally refer to sw as that just messes with your head. Its a new method to a fab new you and we will help.
Good luck hun ...Maria x

Forget SW, didn't work for me either - extra easy my eye!!!

You may find when you start its a bit tedious weighing your rice and pasta and such and you'll think good god theres not enough there to feed a hamster (after SW a normal sized portion looks miniscule!) BUT over time you will find your choices changing so you get more bang for your buck, or food for your point I should say!

And yes go have your chinese!!! I always have a mushroom chow mein at 4.5 pts.

Thanks for the list, gonna print that out. I have the eatingout guide but there is more choice on your list. Thanks again

i agree with you pinkyfluff - SW was so not easy for me! and my potions were huge and id eat free food for the sake of it - defeating the object of trying to lose weight really :)

Thank you so much everyone for your lovely tips and replies.

I am set and revving to go now!

Here's to a fit and fabulous 2010.

Take care everyone.

:thankyou:
