Post Break Up Body

All good, thank you. Busy with work, and still loving being in the office more. Slightly nervous about the darker mornings and keeping my routine.

No walk or challenge at the moment, but keeping an eye out for something to motivate me.

It's lovely to hear you so happy. Spending time with friends is super important.
 
Food yesterday - I get deliveries from planthood, which are vegan meal kits. Really tasty and creative. Yesterday I made a Thai curry chickpea and lentil soup. Delicious and I have half left over for lunch today. C. 900 calories per portion.

Didn't make any dinner. Work is hectic, so the evening ran away with me.
 
That curry sounds delicious.

I know what you mean about hectic. Today has been utterly bonkers. I've had to cancel meetings within my own team, because we've been fighting other fires.
 
Didn't make time for dinner again yesterday, so just another 900 cal soup thing. It was really good. I've got the next delivery coming today and I'll be making vegan kimchi macaroni from it tonight as I have friends coming over to celebrate my birthday.

A lovely surprise this morning, I was gifted a beautiful satin dress from a man I've been seeing. Very impressed that he got the sizing so good and that I'm now firmly in size 10. I think I probably need to lose about 4lbs for it to fit perfectly at the hips, but I'm thrilled with it.
 
Birthday - didn't eat until friends arrived. Made a 770 cal vegan macaroni plus had half a garlic bread 300 cal, salad 100 cal, a 400 cal Victoria sponge and cream, 2 glasses of champagne 160 cal, a g&t 80 cal and a lot of coated pretzels 700 cal. Total - 2510 cal. Not bad for a birthday party, but seriously someone needs to keep those pretzels away!!
 
Pretzels and crisps are just so good, though!

You're much more disciplined than me. I'm "off" for the weekend now.
 
Had a messed up day yesterday. Had a sudden urge to go for a night out at 5pm, so in all the confusion I forgot to eat anything. Grabbed a protein bar on the way to the bar for 200cal, then I had 2 ridiculous small plates. Sweet potatoes fries that were really 5 pieces of sweet potato (200 cal?) plus 4 prawns covered in some weird nest noodle thing. I have no idea (300 cal maybe). So 700 cal total and then I danced like crazy all night.

Today, I have made my comfort food of salmon with broccoli and pea mash. I used 2 salmon fillets for extra protein, so probably 700 cal total. Also had a piece of leftover sponge with cream (400 cal). I'm heading out dancing tonight for Bachata and Dominican fusion.

Also, went on the scales today. STS but that is typical for me on this week of my cycle. I expect to lose next week.
 
So, didn't eat anything else yesterday, and went to Bachata for about 3.5 hours of dancing.

Today, had a wonderfully but very Spenny day at Westfield. Bought 4 new outfits, plus another 4 basic tops, plus underwear, bags, shoes, belts. Totally overboard. Might return one of the outfits. Anyway, I was comfortably a 10 in everything and even fit an 8!! in one dress.

Food wise, I had the last slice of birthday cake (400 cal) plus steak and remaining pea and broccoli mash (700 cal).

I would usually go dancing on Sundays, but it got cancelled :( I was a bit upset about it, but in the end the shopping took up a lot of my day. I'm going to go dancing on Tuesday instead to make it up.
 
Sometimes a wardrobe update is needed! I am holding off buying too much at the moment. I'm around a 12, and would like to get down to the bottom end of a 10, ideally. I did pick up some bits at a charity shop sale on Saturday: a skirt, some trousers and a few tops. Just to keep me going in work stuff that doesn't practically fall off me. I might have to pop into the vintage shop in town again (we have lots in Cardiff, but one is closing down and has reduced all their stock to £10!)
 
So, Monday - I made one of the planthood kits. Tempeh ramen. Definitely the worst of all the meals I have had so far, but still tasty. 850 cal.

Today, I ate the other half of the same meal. And I'm heading out dancing this evening. I'll probably get a snack afterwards to top up sugars.

Only got 17 days until NY. 4lbs would be awesome to lose by then but we will see.
 
ooo how exciting! That's not long at all, and I'm sure you'll smash the 4lb target.

I'm never sure how I feel about tempeh... but then I was like that with tofu, so perhaps I should give it a go again!
 
No, I'm with you on tempeh, it's just nothingy. But worth a punt. Tofu on the other hand, is amazing and very versatile.

Yesterday, I had some chopped apple and a few dolmades after dancing for c. 300 cals.

Today, I've had a protein yogurt and a chicken rice salad as part of a meal deal. I'll have something for dinner as well later, but not sure what yet
 
So much food! Lunch had a spinach tortilla and for cheese wrapped in chorizo.

For dinner had a pint, 2 glasses of wine and a Chinese set meal of...calamari, chicken, summer roll, ribs, seaweed, beef, prawns and prawn toast, duck pancakes. I have no idea how to begin estimating calories, but I feel horribly full now lying in bed.
 
oh no - hope you feel better soon! Sometimes a splurge like that reminds us that our bodies can't eat like that any more. Although I do now really fancy a Chinese tonight!
 
Ah it was ok. The restaurant was lovely, and had a great time catching up with a friend. We hardly had any carbs, and left lots of the main dishes. So while it was definitely a lot, It wasn't a binge or anything.
 
Sounds like the perfect way to look at it. Always good to catchup with friends as well
