    ..but I have been wondering if anyone knows why sweetcorn isnt superfree?? I'm sure there is a good reason out there as this plan is soo fab but as a big sweetcorn fan I have always been curious

    hi hun not sure of the answer but might be because it comes under starchy veg? sorry i'm not a lot of help but didn't want to read and run i'm sure someone will be along with the answer soon :)

    It also doesn't have a high enough water content to be classed as free. It's not as high in carbs as parsnips and potatoes, so combined with the low water content (and therefore not as filling) it just doesn't make the grade!

    I've rediscovered sweetcorn recently, and keep having to tell myself it's not superfree!!

    Baby corn is free so you can still have your corn free if use it in, eg a stirfry.
