You look like you've got two HexA choices - your milk and cheese so you need to syn one of those. You also have two HexB choices - porridge and the bread you used for your sandwich so one of those will need to be synned to.

You will also need to syn your quorn sausages, butter, pickle and the alpen light bar.

If you're doing ee you also need to add way more superfree to your meals - your lunch only has jalapenos and if you had 1/3 of your plate of them then you're a better woman than me! Hehe! Try adding a side salad or eating a couple of pieces of fruit after your sandwich. I'm afraid the fruit that you snacked on doesn't count towards your 1/3 allowance as you need to eat it with the meal.

Sorry if all this sounds harsh. If you want more guidance on EE then there are some fab threads explaining the plan on the forum. Just shout if you need any help and people will be glad to do what they can.

Thanks for that. I'll add the Syn values up later when I have some more time and I'll have a look at my food plan for the week to see if I can improve.

# Lunch
* Tuna on brown (HEB) I could be wrong, but I think it's only Wholemeal which counts as a HExB choice. Is it Wholemeal? Or just Brown? with reduced fat Lurpak How much Lurpak? It needs to be Synned. You will find the Syns value for this in your Food Optimising book. and Heinz Mayonnaise Light Again, how much Mayonnaise? It's not free, and must be Synned. Check your Food Optimising book for help on how to Syn this.

* Beef Bourguignon Is this homemade? If so, you need to calculate the Syn value according to the measurements of ingredients you've used. with carrots and cauliflower
* Tea with skimmed milk

Using all the milk as my HEA again Are you measuring your milk? I know you're using it as your HExA, but it really does need to be measured to make sure you're not overdoing it. I'm only mentioning this because at group last Tuesday a member had an unexpected gain, and the only reason she could think of was possibly because she hadn't measured her milk allowance. Just be careful with this.

Not sure about the Syn value of my lunch and dinner You really should be 'sure'. Guessing won't work.

Hi, I hope you don't mind but I've made a few comments on todays diary.

Excuse me for saying so, but I think you need to become a little more precise with the plan, ie, measuring things properly, recording Syn values, following the set Healthy Extra choices, etc.

On the SuperFree side of things, you look to be doing well, and having the 1/3rd SF with each meal, as well as snacks. Well done.

I find it handy to keep my food optimising book with me so that I can always double check things. Also, don't be afraid to post on the forum if you have any questions or need anything checking - that's what we're all here for.

Hope this helps a bit, good luck xx

Thanks for your feedback. I've taken what you've said into account and I've added it to today's entry. It's a lot easier, when you know what you're looking for.
