Purpleds Maintaining Diary

Hi Guys!

I know I deleted my old diary but I thought maintaining would be easy. I am really struggling to maintain, I keep losing. I've gone from healthy weight to underweight in a matter of months.
I thought it may be helpful to post my food on here to gain some advice.

Do you guys think I should count points? I need to gain a few lbs back, so how many points would I need to eat? I know maintaining is 90 weeklies plus also eat ap. how many would I need to gain?

Or I could just stick to my current foods and list them for advice. I know this isn't Simply Filling (although if I point I'll prob do SF) But I know you guys and did follow SF for months.

Today so far....

Breakfast - 2 pancakes with chocolate Philadelphia. 1 bagel with butter, banana

Lunch - Cream of tomato soup, rocky road squares bar, black pepper sunbites

Planned for dinner
Pilau Rice, homemade chicken Jalfrezi, Garlic and Coriander naan.

Snacks - Grapes, banana, yogurt, blueberries
Plus I've made some bread! I did a cross cross design as its great tear and share. The bread flavour is red onion and balsamic. I've been picking at it all afternoon. So yummy!!

+ I may fancy a drink later. We have wine/Champaigne/Vodka/Beer lol!! Doctor who on TV (I'm a geek lol) and I don't really like X factor but my cousins in it, so I've been watching this year.

Exercise - 60mins tennis + 30 mins cycling

Any advice would be great guys!!

Okay so yesterday I did something strange to my knee playing tennis. It was the ligament on the outside of my knee bent and sprang back into place. I know that's strange but its the only way I can describe it. Anyway I hoped a good night sleep would fix the issue but I've woken up with a huge bruise. How strange. It doesn't hurt to walk bit the bending and straightening motion is agony.

Anyway today I have a relaxed day. I've just had breakfast, now I am getting ready (slowly and painfully) we are going to inlaws to drop off some shopping. May have lunch with them there. Then home about 1/2ish. No other plans! Hell Yeah!

I'm still not sure what to do regarding points. There is no information regarding gaining weight. But my fitness pal says to gain 1lb a week I should eat 2270 calories a day + the extra calories from exercise. So I think I probably arnt eating enough. It doesn't explain why I am losing weight but it may explain why I am not gaining. I probably eat 2200-2700 calories per day. But I'm dam sure I burn 600-1000 doing exercise. Like if I think of all the things I do that I dont add, I run up and down 8 flights of stairs 3 or 4 times a day at work. I'm on my feet a lot, I exercise most days. Either running/class/insanity/tennis/hockey. But surely if I eat 2270 calories a day + extras I'd be on 3200 a day. That's pretty high. Some may say exercise less. But.....it keeps me stress free and I enjoy it. Any ideas?

Breakfast - Bagel/egg/ham + banana + natural yogurt
Lunch - Sandwich?? Crisps and homemade flapjack
Dinner - chicken breasts x 2 in tomato and Basil sauce, new potato and mint, carrots and peas
Snacks - apple/grapes/blueberries/homemade pop corn / cranberry cheese + thin crispy crackers

Plus almond milk for hot drinks.

Nice to see you have a diary again Purple.

That is rather annoying that you keep losing when trying to maintain. I've been at it 2 weeks and am 1lb under and not sure how as I have been eating loads of extras and not pointing anything.

That bread looks amazing! I am not really exercising right now as just got lazy there when I got to target but going to start again this week. Obviously you do loads of exercise and that is burning loads of cals but its good for you (other than injuries lol) and if you enjoy it then you certainly shouldn't need to stop.

I guess maybe you could look into what athletes eat to help them maintain as obviously they eat thousands and thousands of calories without eating lots of junk (as I'll be honest I am using treats as my main source of upping the calories to maintain!)

I hope you find the balance soon. Did you ever go see the doc about possibility of over active thyroid? I hate docs and try to avoid them like the plague but sometimes a professional opinion can be very useful. X

Oo which is yer cousin ? Xx

Hiya!

I like to get my calories from treats too but if I eat too much sugary food I really do feel crap and tired! So I've been trying to keep my intake up with whole foods :) I haven't been to the doctors but I will think about it. Since I may have to go back regarding my knees and clicking. I could mention it.

And my cousin is in the girls category called Ella. She's amazing. We are not too close, she's lives in Tetney and I'm the other side of Lincolnshire. I only see her at family parties/weddings etc but its nice having someone to support. Plus when she was 4/5 I taught her how to play twinkle twinkle little star on the piano. :) I never really watched X factor but there are some good people in it. Although I hate Tulisa. And I'd love Louis Walsh to win, he makes me smile. Clueless.

I'm currently having crazy ideas about making my own wedding dress. I need to get it out my head because it could go disastrously wrong lol!! So I thought I'd make myself a dress today, not a wedding dress! Just a fun casual dress. Then my head might think...your actually not that good. Buy your wedding dress. Watch this space. I'll put a pic of whatever I make on here later.

Ooh talented lady making dresses, look forward to seeing your talents ;-)

Hope the docs manage to sort out your knees and metabolism.

How's the wedding plans going? When's the big day? X

Wedding plans are going great! venue booked (which includes food/disco/Decorations), bouquet made, cake ordered, suits hired, registrars sorted, honeymoon booked, bridesmaid dress idea chosen but not purchased.

Need to buy rings, my dress and I'm sure there is loads of other things. The table decorations and chair covers etc are all included in venue price but we just need to go in and chose what we want.

Oh we need to do invites and send them out.

26th May next year

Omg !!!!! She's amazing !! I bet your so proud!! She's clearly guna make it big :) amazing voice xxx

Ooh that's all very exciting and looks like its going well. Great that they sort out a fair bit of the work for you too less for you to worry about :) x

Yeah we just pay and turn up lol!! We still make all the decisions, it's just very organised!

It's a big day we will remember forever but not something we want to spend an obscene amount of money on. So we can do the wedding as fancy as we want, but the fact is we want children pretty soon, and we want a bigger garden. So it seems sensible to keep costs down and save money for more important things. People go crazy spending on weddings!!

Sorry to hear about your knee, good idea to see the doctor for that and your metabolism :0)
That bread looks amazing,nom!
Sounds like lots are already sorted for your wedding which is great and yup it does make sense to have money for other things..crazy to over spend on one day when you have the rest of your lives together for a good ole spend up lol :0)

Haha! So I thought I'd show you guys this dress I have seen for bridesmaids. You need to imagine it in deep purple. Like cadburys chocolate purple.
image-1618069753.jpgimage-378851961.jpg
So I have a bridesmaid with a tattoo on her back she wants to cover, 1 who hates her legs, 2 who have no bust and prefer not to wear v neck, 1 who needs a style she can wear a bra as she has a big bust.

I thought..::eek:h no I need a miracle.

Tadaaa......I rock!
So it's one dress that you style in loads of different ways image-2094117286.jpg
It will cover a back tattoo, it will hide legs, a bra can be worn, v necks can be avoided. I chose the full length front and back, rather than the short at front style.

My bridesmaids said they would pay for their own dress and budget is £60-80 this is £50! So I have ordered one in purple to see the quality (as online is hard to picture quality) and I have a week to return it. So if we don't like I'll send it back. If I love then I will order 4 more. (Buy 5 items and get one free) gotta love Etsy.

In Food news....I pretty much ate what I said. No extra snacks. I feel pretty full today. May start calories counting using myfitnesspal tomorrow.

Wow what a great find with the dress,I hope the quality is good as it looks lovely and will be great in purple, brilliant price as well ...result :0)
Love that you want to make your own wedding dress, nice and personal to you that way.
At least you will know for sure if you are having enough calories that way :0)

Sorry ur loosing purpled but it sounds like u either need to up the cals or lower the exercise, that's if ur thyroid is normal! I would get that checked out as I've heard an over active thyroid can b dangerous for ur health!

So u gave up the yoga then? Where r u on insanity? I got 1 workout left on the first month then it's recovery wk! I also purchased hip hop abs from eBay £11 in total from China and it looks like a decent copy, gonna try that after and I hope it gets rid of my jelly belly!

Sent from my GT-I9300 using MiniMins

Good plan with the dress, I also think a good option for flattering all different sizes and shapes is 50s style dresses like vivien of holloway or similar. Doesn't cover backs or legs but really do suit all different shapes :) x

Breakfast - Cornflakes/banana/almond milk + Wholemeal toast x 2 and Brie

Lunch - Pasta with quorn chicken, homemade tomato sauce, fresh veg

Dinner - homemade quorn burgers, mixed beans, rice, green beans

Snacks - Chocolate Mouse, Apple, Banana, Grapes, Breakfast Biscuits

I'll reply to you all tomorrow as I'm currently making bridesmaid bouquets :) obsessed!
